President Joe Biden

Biden is seen as the wrong candidate.

Simple, really.
Yes, I can see that. He also happens to be the only democratic candidate left in the race.

But here's the thing. Let's say you are the equivalent of Sanders and ANother on this thread is the equivalent of Biden.
I, as a voter, might like your policies more than the other guys'. But the way you communicate these policies at times, may leave
me feeling that I really don't want someone like you in power, so I'll vote for the other guy. Even if his policies
are not ideal. In this context, is it so difficult to understand why some may be more moved by the 'Biden NOT Trump'
argument, than by apparent differences (or not) in policy? You may not agree with that - fair enough - but can you at least
acknowledge that, for some, it is what is most important?

It shouldn't be a popularity contest.

The pair of you are clowns.

You think you see the bigger picture, but it's a return to 2008 with no progression.

You don't understand you NEED Progressives in the party to move it forward or #45 retains his place.

Anyway, you keep clapping.
I don't think you see the bigger picture of how devastating four more years of Trump would be to progressive causes. If Trump appoints another justice to the Supreme Court you can forget about any big progressive policies for the next 30 years or so. This isn't an exaggeration. It's not inspiring but a "return to 2008" would be an amazing result for progressives given the alternative.

It shouldn't be a popularity contest.
It is a popularity contest. There's no prize for being right if you lose.

Anyone who would prefer a Donald Trump victory in the next election over Joe Biden (or, theoretically any previous Democrat or even Republican candidate) is morally deficient.

This man - Trump - is an anomaly.

Amongst all elected Western leaders over the last 50 years, he stands alone as the biggest threat to a stable and successful future for the world and its inhabitants (and that is saying something, considering some of the awful American foreign policies in that time). If you are the type of American only interested in America, then substitute the word 'America' for 'world' in that sentence and it is still true.

He is a criminal and almost certainly controlled by some very dangerous psychological traits that normally rule others out of consideration for the highest offices.

He is intellectually incapable in the context of the job that he holds in a manner never before witnessed in a modern day, elected leader of a powerful country

It doesn't matter whether you are Republican, Democrat, 'Progressive', an anarchist or anything else.

If you cannot recognise this man for what he is and would prefer him over any other candidate who does not display the abhorrent characteristics he does (and there has never been another modern day candidate, including Biden, who does), than you have lost your moral compass, in my view.

Joe Biden is a good and smart man. He's a return to normalcy and the leader we need right now. When he chooses Kamala Harris as his running mate it's a signal to the more progressive wing of the party that they're being listened to. After Covid-19 Medicare for all will be the next step in moving America into the 21st century.

Saw a wicked summary of Biden that appealed to my warped sense of humour: "Joe Biden's mind is like a web browser: 19 tabs are open, 17 are frozen, and he has no idea where the music is coming from"

Whereas Trump would just lie and say there is no music!
