What's missing​

The bill leaves out Biden's proposal to spend $400 billion to bolster caregiving for aging and disabled Americans -- the second largest measure in the American Jobs Plan.
His proposal would have expanded access to long-term care services under Medicaid, eliminating the wait list for hundreds of thousands of people. It would have provided more opportunity for people to receive care at home through community-based services or from family members.
It would also have improved the wages of home health workers, who now make approximately $12 an hour, and would have put in place an infrastructure to give caregiving workers the opportunity to join a union.
Also left on the sideline: $100 billion for workforce development, which would have helped dislocated workers, assisted underserved groups and put students on career paths before they graduate high school.
The bill also leaves out the $18 billion Biden proposed to modernize Veterans Affairs hospitals, which are on average 47 years older than private-sector hospitals.
What's also out is a slew of corporate tax hikes that Biden wanted to use to pay for the American Jobs Plan.

Biden's original proposal called for raising the corporate income tax rate to 28%, up from the 21% rate set by Republicans' 2017 tax cut act, as well as increasing the minimum tax on US corporations to 21% and calculating it on a country-by-country basis to deter companies from sheltering profits in international tax havens.
It also would have levied a 15% minimum tax on the income the largest corporations report to investors, known as book income, as opposed to the income reported to the Internal Revenue Service, and would have made it harder for US companies to acquire or merge with a foreign business to avoid paying US taxes by claiming to be a foreign company.
There are some corporate tax raising provisions that Democratic lawmakers are looking to include in the separate legislation aimed at expanding the nation's social safety net.

And the other one represents the cult of personality of a despicable Clown, some legacy racists, and God knows what else.

Where does someone who is anti-war, anti-corporate, anti-establishment, and pro civil liberties have as a home? I don't know but I'd like to find one. Till then I'll mind my own business and hope someday for someone to come along worth voting for that doesn't get capped in the Dem primary charade.

You don’t have a home, because your anti- list presumes the world would be a better place without any of things that you’re anti-. And in some cases it would. But in others it wouldn’t, which is why those things exist.

Also not clear why you’re decrying the Cult, which appears to fit you much better than today’s Democrats based on your description.

Also, I don’t believe your true story. I believe that you believe it. I believe maybe someone at Deloitte zipped you for a vote. But your conclusion that it was Deloitte (“they”) instead some dickhead AT Deloitte is kind of maybe the problem.

Biden is a million times better than Trump just a being a human being. That's a given.

Aren't we allowed to criticize him for what he hasn't done that he's promised?

Some of his electioneering promises has been diluted from high strength beer to piss water to appease his mate Moscow Mitch.

Biden is a careerist politician trying to portray himself as progressive, yet happy to keep the system the same so as not to make his political class uncomfortable.


After Trump in some ways that's a relief. For the millions of voters that elected him he's a disappointment. The only way he's improved their lives is he's not the Mango Mussolini.

I think that's a bit unfair.
With a senate split 50/50 and the GOP 50 insistent on obstructing everything they can, and with 2 of his own 50 (Manchin and Sinema) playing their own game he's having to make compromises that significantly water down his agenda. It's not about appeasing Moscow Mitch - it's about appeasing those two who are senators with backing largely from traditional Republicans, and allegedly from businesses with vested interests in not wanting the Democrat agenda to be too ambitious.

Being honest, I'm not too familiar with what an executive order can cover. I don't think it applies to his infrastructure bill?
