President Joe Biden

Hmmmm... I'll give you that. But a follow up question, why don't we see Biden as a threat to Democracy?
Because when a legion of Secretaries of State certified a free and fair election, he didn't stand up and up and say that they are lying/incompetent, and that he actually received far more votes than the data proved.

And because before the election, he didn't say this: https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37673797

Note: that was the 2016 election.

I'm pretty sure Biden will have his faults but being an unhinged narcissistic sociopath isn't amongst them.
Perhaps. Was just wondering if being San unhinged narcissistic sociopath was the only thing worthy of interest.

Fair point. I was going to point out this happened in 2020... But Trump had been mistrused long before that... However, it seems you were ahead of me in your thinking...

Yup! You are right, Trump was casting doubts on the elections in 2016... I remember quite well coz I thought he was a douchebag for doing so. And it legitimizes the worry he might destabilize democracy.

Which brings me to the issue of Biden,
this exchange sounds like casting doubt on the upcoming elections to me. What are your thoughts?

Also, as a side note, it took forever to find this video. I can't even find the original anymore. You google or YouTube "Biden on 2022 election" and all thatds populated is Psaki walking back some of what he said, and CCN 'correcting' the misinformation of Biden casting doubt.

Granted, I'm not particularly skilled at finding videos. But this trend of negative left leaning videos being harder to find seems worrisome.

Granted, that's a separate topic altogether.

My thoughts are Biden is probably right to be concerned, and probably shouldn’t have said what he said. Fortunately as you point out, it was walked back. Whew!

Once Biden says everything Trump said as he said it and as much as he said it, then there will be some evidence the two’s perspective are equivalent.

Also the guy with the weird hair and cat t-shirt is incredibly irritating.

Is this not false equivalence?

Trump was stating that votes were fraudulent, that votes didn't exist and their was a conspiracy afoot to stop him winning the election.

Biden is stating that certain states are looking to change the laws around voting in order to determine a particular outcome?

Biden's use of 'illegitimate' was a poor choice of wording.

Of course it’s false equivalence.

Yes. It seems Biden is allowed to walk his bad comments back. But the media doesn't or didn't afford Trump the same courtesy.

I get it folks think he is decidedly worse. Anyway, it's unimportant now coz Biden is President.

Yes, I agree. As a general rule I find YouTube Political commentators who try to be sarcastic and condescending quite annoying:

Whether it is "Run, Don't walk" (this guy) who is more conservative, or his liberal versions such as "Some More News" or "Brian Tyler Cohen." It's just hard to stomach people who aren't naturally funny playing comedian with politics.

It is annoying.

Ok. So he thought the elections were illegitimate. Got it.

Biden is stating that certain states are looking to change the laws around voting in order to determine a particular outcome?
So, he is saying States are purposely looking to achieve an illegitimate outcome. Ok

Biden's use of 'illegitimate' was a poor choice of wording.
Ah! I see. Biden cast doubt, it was a poor use of words. I'm shocked you can't see your own bias here.

Anyway, this guy went through all the Laws that are supposed to "achieve an illegitimate outcome."

I suggest you go through it. I'm almost certain it would be the first time you actually heard what exactly was in these "Illegitimate vote" States election rules.

It's laughable to say the least.
