President Joe Biden

It's a classic right-wing smear and you're buying it hook line and sinker. I'm even old enough to remember when Hillary was on the verge of death leading up to the 2016 election. Let's take a look at your guy (not my commentary, copy/pasted from elsewhere):

Go to 1:04:30. Bernie literally says "In 1941, we were at war with China and Hitler". Doesn't correct himself.

At one minute in, Bernie calls Robert Reich "Robert Rubin"

Bernie said he graduated high school with a ton of black students. He graduated with three black students. That's a clear memory lapse.

Bernie said 10,000 Palestinian civilians were killed in 2014 when it was 1,000. Later said he got his facts mixed up.

In a debate, instead of saying "those countries opposed to ISIS", he embarrassingly said "those countries opposed to Islam"

Bernie says Bush is the president instead of Trump in a debate and doesn't correct himself

He did the same thing twice in a hearing and only corrected himself after laughter./saying it the 2nd time

Got into the wrong plane. Even pro-Bernie TMZ called it a "brainfart".

Proclaimed that "we will pass gay marriage in all 50 states" nearly 11 months after the SCOTUS ruling. Makes no sense under any context

In live interview, Bernie Sanders called Wolf Blitzer "Jake" 3 times before Wolf corrected him. Then he still called him "Jake" 2 more times

Urged voters to support him in the Iowa caucus instead of the Nevada caucus when he was doing a rally in Vegas.

Confuses the Iowa caucus with the Nevada caucus again..

Bernie asked "who's the biggest threat between Russia, Iran, and North Korea". Answers ISIS multiple times until asked a 4th time by Chuck Todd

Said he was in Sioux City in Iowa instead of Sioux Falls in South Dakota

On a question regarding infrastructure, Bernie said "we need to rebuild the United Nations"

Said there are 500 superdelegates...no there are 771.

Incorrectly called the "Human Rights Campaign" the "Human Rights Fund"

Even Jeff Weaver said Bernie "misspoke and conflated a few facts regarding Russia" in a couple of interviews

Wrongly referred to a staffer as a volunteer.

Said he ridden the subway multiple times the past year but claimed that he used "tokens" to ride it whentokens haven't been used for decades. That's a clear memory lapse.

Bernie ran into a shower door; it can happen to anyone, but that's especially common for senior citizens with cognition issues "

I remember many of those. They are correct, taken in isolation. So, yes, I agree with you.

With that said, you haven't debunked anything that happen during the debates against his opponents during the primaries. Harris? Castro? Ryan (I think)? Forgetting Obama's name?

And I'm pretty sure I could find exactly the same if not more amount to add to the list as you've done with Sanders.

My point is this; during a debate, where most people look at the competing candidates for Pres it's gonna be a binary choice. It's gonna come down to personality, records and who doesn't lose their cool.

Have you seen Biden under pressure? #45 doesn't offer out anyone or challenge them push ups, he changes the subject to something he's more comfortable with, same as he did with Clinton.

Like I said, if things go #45's way over the next few months in lieu of any corrective challenges from Biden & co, #45 will be re-elected.

No, what you're doing is throwing out diagnoses of a serious disease, off handedly, simply because the nominee whose basket you put all your eggs was beaten.

So stop crying wolf over people posting insults and attacks when you have thrown out the biggest of them all.

No amount of bold text, underlining or your usual bollocks of italics will hide your hypocritical tantrums that even a toddler would be ashamed of.

Get a grip, you happy clapper.

You wouldn't see me having the same issues with a younger, less forgetful candidate who could hold their own in a tough debate.

You'd have seen me support Harris less reluctantly, despite her dubious attorney record, but she came undone herself by flip-flopping her message. Castro was another possibility at a big push. Less corporatism and a little more progressive.

Shit, I might have even taken Superman Firefighter Corey Booker, but that would have been the dry biscuit and no drink option!

I'm not interested in "debunking" verbal stumbles... the point of the Bernie clips were that you can portray anyone as a hopeless public speaker if you have enough video of them. And honestly, the best argument against Biden's so called cognitive decline is just watching him speak for 5 minutes straight and not cherrypicking out of context clips being fed to us by the Trump campaign. I've linked a good example below. When you actually watch him in a more relaxed setting he sounds completely fine. He's not an amazing public speaker, but not being an amazing public speaker isn't evidence of cognitive decline either.

Are you not bothered that he seeks his notes more than he addresses the crowd??

#45 might talk a lot of shit at his rallies, but he can chunter!

It shows me Biden is not flexible off the cuff and needs the security of looking at the notes every few seconds.

That's not engaging as a personality, but hey, we'll see.

I think people overestimate the debates. Most people don't watch the whole thing, just the highlights afterwards on a news channel that reports it how they wanted it to be rather than how it actually was. The Republicans have won 3 of the last 5 elections. Can you honestly say that their candidate has won the debates before any of those elections? Ironically John McCain was probably their best performer (admittedly up against the Democrats' best), and he didn't win the election. Trump was an embarrassment in the debates and Bush could barely string a coherent sentence together, yet both won when it mattered.

So, what's your conclusion??

Don't the candidates have to release some form of medical fitness/assessment.

If that is really the case it will become clear in the next few months.

Biden should ask for the name of Trump’s doctor if that is the case. I’m sure for a reasonable fee he’ll give him a clean bill of health

Interesting.

I can't post a truthful opinion on any thread, especially one created for such opinion, without the idiotic happy clapping sycophants complaining.

What an ironic board this can be!!

Not wishing to be overly pedantic but facts can be truthful and opinions can be honestly held but I don’t think a truthful opinion is really a thing.

Trump can chunter all right. He chunters absolute shit. If he has a written speech he stares straight down at it until he’s finished reading it in a monotone. All Biden has to do in a debate is not get distracted by Trump answering different questions to the ones asked and to call him on his bullshit. In a one on one Trump won’t be in control like he is in a press conference. Trump has the delivery of a third rate comedian unless he’s reading a speech when his delivery changes to dull as fuck with no engagement at all.
