Town has become expensive but there are still some good value places to be had if you avoid some of the trendier bars.

My match day drinking normally centres around Sinclairs, Seven Stars and the Hare n Hounds. Probably no more than £3.30 a pint in all.

Some good cheap food to be had around there as well, like This&That in Shudehill where you can get a decent curry for £6.50.

This and That is fantastic and opens 7 days a week - not licensed to serve alcohol though so you can’t get a beer with your curry.
However the food is delicious and cheap.

£51 for an adult and 2 kids in the returned section of SS3. Not bad.
Midweek and not much to play for...but it'll be interesting to see how quickly that section sells compared to the rest.

They will sell out. Other areas if the ground won't. Fans of other clubs will take the oiss because we haven't sold out even though we sold.more tickets than we would for games when away club take all 3 tiers.

All other Season Tickets will increase by around five per cent, which is an average of £2.50 per game.

The under-16 price freeze reflects the club’s commitment to preserving access to Old Trafford for our next generation of fans, following consultation with the Fans’ Advisory Board.

The increase for other categories aims to strike a balance between keeping tickets affordable for fans and keeping the club financially sustainable.

Omar Berrada, chief executive of Manchester United, said: “We appreciate the loyal and patient support of our fans, and particularly our Season-Ticket holders who represent the core of our match-going support base. We understand the importance of their backing for the team and have worked hard to come up with a pricing package that is fair and reasonable.

City’s pricing increase policy in recent years seems to have been to increase by less than inflation for regular seats and make up the difference through stealth or increasing corporate prices more.

We will need to be competitive on the pitch or plenty of the corporates will go elsewhere.

My Uncle is one. Been going since the 60s, his reward for 60 years of loyalty to them, a £340 price increase on his season ticket there.

He should have stuck with my Dad and Grandad who were Blues!

Funny story - my Grandad used to take my Dad+Uncle to Maine Road one week and Old Trafford the next (like many used to do from when United shared Maine Road with us after WW2, and probably used to happen up until probably the early 70s), when City beat Utd 1-4 at OT and Doyle scored this goal at the Stretford End, my Grandad was jumping up and down in celebration in the Stretford End but it was my Uncle, the Red, who got punched off a fellow Rag hahaha

This is the sort of journalism needed if the press have wanted to dig out our club. Not all these boring hypotheticals, ifs buts maybes and total guesses about the 115 case day-after-day… actual journalism getting to the nitty gritty of what is affecting the fans.

Shame it’s only in the local paper. This is something I would have welcomed for the last decade from every media source against the club.

If they’d started digging at the club for this ten years ago, maybe we wouldn’t be in the situation we are now.
