Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

already seeing away fans buying tickets for games in our end.

seen a few leeds fans tweet their tickets
One Leeds fan I know, who was in our end for the end of Covid hammering we gave them, said he wouldn’t go in the home end again at the Etihad altering seeing the American tourist get battered on-line.

Listening to Talksport on the way to work earlier (I know, I know), Jordan and Matterface discussing ticket prices for non season ticket holders. Initially Villa v Newcastle opening day £77 notes on the Holte end!!!!!

Funny how a small protest at City made the club listen and reduce Match day ticket prices.
It isn't just City though is it. All clubs fans are being fleeced and it is not a good thing.

Just seen Arsenal ballot price for our game at Emirates, £78 to £145.50

Does anyone know if the £5 citizens matchday discount is added at checkout or if the ticket price is already reduced.thanks, asking for my daughter
Already reduced, I phoned up about it yesterday last year you got to basket and it was done there but apparently it's done b4 basket now

I think City have been a bit sneaky with these price promises. They've advertised Fulham for example ( Cat C ) at £30-£50. But it appears that the only tickets available at £30 are a handful on Rows 1-3 of the North Stand. Row 4 is £38. I've not checked but I'm assuming the bottom line in the other categories are equally as scarce?

The advertised £5 discount, as mentioned by others, is really a bit of a fib as well isn't it? It's ok saying that it's already been applied. But when you're paying the full amount of the only advertised prices, then there is no discount is there? It would be illegal for a shop to advertise something as discounted if the original price had never existed.

It is still an improvement on last season. I'm happy to give credit for that. But maybe not quite as good as first appeared.

There are more zones, layers, price bands, and so on than ever before. A can of worms that needs simplification.

Not sure about how many of the cheaper ticketd there were.but as for the £5 discount it's always been the case that once logged in to your account your members discounted price is the price you see, exactly the same as when you log into the shop you see the discounted prices.

For the life of me, I can't remember; how long before any given game are the links to download the ticket to your phone wallet sent out; a couple of weeks, is it?

The boardroom at all of our clubs are a fucking disgrace when it comes to looking after their core supporters.

Their targeting of worldwide audiences should come from a push to introduce club owned streaming services and innovative ways to watch them on cinema style screens and stadium ‘experiences’ around the world, not a replacement of core local supporters with them on package deals with flights, hotels and match tickets in the actual stadiums.

Core local supporters are the foundation of our football clubs. They should never, never be looked upon as replaceable figures on a bar graph or balance sheet.

Even though City did shift their stance on prices after our protests, I’d still take part in a PL-wide boycott to show the PL itself and all other clubs that the ticketing stance of all our clubs needs to change. And it doesn’t mean City won’t just take another U-turn in the future and it doesn’t mean City have reduced the number of tickets they’re going to put on their ticket tout partner sites for any away fan or idiot there not supporting City can get their hands on.

We cannot lose what makes our sport special… as Covid showed, football is actually quite a shit sport without the fans in the stadiums. Losing core supporters and replacing them with worldwide nobodies is the same sort of thing n’all.

Should be able to download the pass and then it's updated with tickets for the next game you've bought sometime before the game. When I looked the other day though the pass didn't seem to be available to down load yet.

I've got the app on my mobile, as in previous seasons. No sign of the Burnley ticket, as of yet.

Mind you, that's near enough two months away yet, so hardly likely to be sending them out for several weeks yet.

On a different topic, I see the email notification about membership renewal arrived this afternoon.

Mine renewed a couple of days ago, but mine has disappeared from my wallet need to check if my son has got his.. I’ll have to look into it.

I'd love to know how ticket sales are going with the new ticket prices.

City will be looking at the ticket sales and crunching the numbers.

They will know instantly if the decision to reduce ticket prices has been a success or not.

Fingers crossed it has been a success.

And the fan protests were justified.

The rest of the Tottenham tickets went on sale at 2pm. Looks like about a 30 minute wait to get on the website initially.

I saw this video about the Buffalo Bills fans being priced out of the new stadium. $50k country club membership fee before you buy a season ticket….

I couldn't be arsed watching that (sorry) but I'd guess that is for some humongous hospitality section?
$50k for a 30 year lease on the top level down to $15k for the lower level. But that’s excluding the cost of game tickets. It sounds a bit like flexi-gold with a bit of premium features, but paid in advance for many years. It looks like everything else will be sold as General Admission.

This season a ten-game GA package (which actually included 2x preseason games) cost $1146. The avg season ticket was $3180 (that’s for the games, not PSL - Personal Seat Licence).

I suppose they’re hoping fans will just see the PSL as $500 - $1667 a season and find a way to fund it (they probably have a payment plan they can offer).

Scruffy Jim has already mooted this idea for the Circus Tent. I also note that the Bills got $800M tax payer assistance for their new stadium.

I think we can begin to see just why we are attracting so many US owners over here.
