I’m not saying 25 for university am I. Plenty stay on until there 21/22 though. I’m going off my own experiences and that of people I know. I’m 31 now, but after uni I was unemployed and then went into low paid work, as do most young people.Few stay on to 25 ,doctors maybe, sorry I'm not having 24 year olds getting concession prices. Yes some 24 year olds don't have the spare money my son does I would bet so do many 26 year olds don't either. When I was 29 I was strapped I didn't expect the club to reduce prices I accepted at that time I had to give up my season ticket and football.
I would guess most 21 -35 year olds missing aren't missing due to cost, they have other priorities. and like me missing from 29 to 35 then I came back and brought my son.
Cost is absolutely one of the main reasons why that age group aren’t attending. There priced out and then get out of the habit. Asking 22 year olds to all of sudden pay adult prices, prices loads of young adults out. (Nearly a million are unemployed)
The clear example of that is cheaper cup games and champions league games, where you actually see groups of younger adults attending.
We shouldn’t just accept it, like you did. If we did that we wouldn’t have the cheaper away tickets we do today. I’m not having it that most younger adults just have other priorities and cost isn’t a factor in that. Cheaper tickets for younger adults say a 21-25 ticket seems like common sense to me
If we don’t encourage younger adults to attend, who is replacing all the older fans who will stop going over the next few years?
