Priced out?

Here’s a question that I don’t know the answer to - was Gorton in Manchester when we were initially formed as St Marks?
It was in the “parish” of Manchester I believe but technically in Lancashire, but West Gorton transferred to the township of Manchester in 1890 before Gorton transferred in 1910. So City were located in Manchester when formed in 1894.

How would people feel about 1894 (and/or other City fan groups) showing solidarity with United fans in their disgust over these ticket prices?

I’d have no issue with it personally. It would be interesting to see what other posters think.
No way. After suffering that poisonous banner for 30+ years there’s no way I’d help them out or have any joint demonstration with them. They haven’t changed at all since the Fergie years & still belittle us when they get a chance. Look at their 115 thread
They deserve nothing good

Hate United as much as next person but on ticket prices we have to work together just like we have with West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Ipswich, this isnt banter this nis a nationwide issue.

The banner was only around for about 10 years. First time I saw it was 2001.

Ok but my point still stands. The “not in my lifetime” mocking statement; their constant (incorrect) comments about our stadium; their constant references to oil money; their snide disbelief in our innocence re 115 - why would we want to align ourselves with them now just because their ticket prices are higher than ours - and they’ve done nothing to help themselves

Funny really. Over the years we’ve always “helped them out” including letting them share our stadium
Remind me what they’ve ever done for us

Finally someone speaks some sense.

We finally showed the club last year that we weren't happy and would make a stand, also asked for some more communication from the club, We got a big victory, we need all to come together like we all did for the TwentysPlenty

Did they support us this season when we stayed on the concourse - they could have voiced their support to the media via their fans spokesman - but nothing?

May not have but if the biggest club in this country think they can take piss with prices the rest will follow, i held the exploitingLoyalty banner with LFC fans, these thing end up affecting us all eventually.

I can't support other football fans, in the main they've treated us like shit for years now.

Agreed but there are boundaries & helping or siding with that lot crosses the line

I wouldnt join them on a March to Old Trafford but i do back them if they decide to a Concourse action like we did, Their protests up to now have been shit, no one cares about a March or wearing a shite Scarf.

Did they fuck, they took pictures and came out with such witty remarks as " what protest the Etihad always looks like this," fuck them, let them work out for themselves how to change the Glaziers and Scruffy Jim's minds on ticket prices.

Nice. Pity they didn’t do the same for us - before they realised their tickets were going up
