Finances are tight at all the major clubs now due to FFP rules, you just can't pay wages to players who you don't think you can use. It's City's financial model and they're doing quite well with it, the secret is not getting emotional when it comes to such decisions.

Harry Kane is objectively a way, way superior all-around player than both Haaland and Sergio Aguero. I've no problem to admit it myself as a Haaland fan. Kane is a world class goalscorer AND playmaker. However, Kane (and Aguero for that matter) has never been rated as the best striker in the world at the end of [insert season].
A productive goalscorer is generally often the most valuable player (with notable exception). In this case, Haaland makes goalscoring look ridiculously easy in a way neither Harry Kane or Aguero has done.
Neither Aguero or Kane is in conversation among all-time great strikers in football history like Haaland.

How? The fact Haaland is objectively a much better pure goalscorer than Kane & Aguero as well as Kane is a superior overall player than Haaland & Aguero. The latter two arent exactly renowned for their passing skills.

It was a fair assessment of how you see it and whilst you’re unlikely to get much support on here with any Kane/Aguero comparisons there’s no doubt Harry has been an exceptional player.
Haaland will be way out in front by the time he hangs his boots up if injuries are kept to a minimum.
