Prime Aguero or present Haaland

You have to say as fans we are privileged to have seen the two best strikers in the clubs long illustrious history almost back to back. And I say that as someone who saw Carl Shutt and Gerry Creaney in the famous sky blue
Interesting debate about who was the best striker prior to 2008. Lee, Brook and Anelka (Tueart not really being a striker) might have a shout, but I think despite its briefness with the club, Trevor Francis has to be in prime position - but as you suggest it’s a big gap from Sergio and Erling to the pre-takeover crew.

Sergio Aguero / EPL

2011/12 130 shots 52 on target
2012/13 86/36
2013/14 86/29

Total goals: 52

Erling Haaland / EPL

2022/23 123/60
2023/24 121/59
2024/25 14/10

Total : 70 goals

Just keep going Erl

And for the previous 4 and a half games?

I love Kun, he's probably my favourite City player but Haaland, he's different gravy and only getting better.
I agree with @jamesha. Aguero would have conjured up something out of nothing today. Both brilliant brilliant strikers and it’s a really difficult one to choose. I may get pelters for this but I think Aguero just shades it due to the fact he would out of nowhere win us a game from his own making.

There’s nothing wrong with saying Sergio shades it at this point but I really don’t see what difference he would have made with our build up today.

He just had that knack of either scoring from 20 yards or making something out of nothing or himself inside the box. Which is what we needed in my mind today.
He did, and maybe he would have conjured up something but for 40 mins in that second half we had a flat line of 5 players passing along the 18 yard box until one smashed it into row z!!

You cannot live in the past. You can only live in the present :)

Sergio was more of a percentage player. Very similar to Romario, create enough opportunities you will score more. Haaland is strangely like a mid 90s premier league striker.

Loved me some Sergio. But Haaland is better, the numbers speak for themselves.

Aguero had other better facets to his game, but Haaland is something else.
