So should I ignore them or contact them explaining I'm not paying?!! Oh and I've lost the ticket so have no idea how to contact them!!

Do not ring them as they will have your number and mither you to death. Expect a couple of letters then a couple more from a debt collectors then it stops. I've had a few and ignored all of them.
This. Don't contact them at all. You'll get increasingly threatening letters for about 6 months but they have no legal basis at all.

When you park on private land there is an implied contract between the driver of the car at the time (not the owner) and the landowner. In order to enforce the charge, they'd have to prove that you were the driver at the time you parked and, even if they could and took it to court, you'd only be liable to pay a reasonable sum to cover parking.

The only recorded case of successful prosecution is where a guy admitted he was the driver on a forum. If your OP identifies where you parked specifically then amend it and you're safe as houses. UPDATE: I've done it for you.

Interesting.

So does this mean anyone can park on your drive whenever they want and get away with it by ignoring you and your letters?

That might be handy for anyone who needs to park near your house.

I hope you can't be traced from your posts on this forum.

Not sure about you mate but I don't personally have a sign outside my drive advertising it as a car park.

Why would anyone park on someone else's drive? Madness.

What sort of cretinous response is that? I've given the exact legal position.

I don't offer my drive as a car park and anyone obstructing it is actually committing an offence. Someone actually did park their car in front of my drive without my permission once and I had it towed away by the police.
