As per my above post, I said he inherited the squad AND the poor players with it. Players who are competiton for places but who honestly would be concerned with Vassell or Ball taking your place!

The players are at fault here, the players who have come in (Hughes's signings) have improved us in areas which were needed, but the squad from last year, who turned off after xmas and have taken this mentality into this season and it has affected the squad as a whole!

January should see competition for places come into the club and as I said before, should give last season's squad a bit of a kick up the arse!

And what player in there right mind would come to a club hovering or in the bottom 3, obvious dressing room battles and unrest, lack of fight, spirit and passion on and off the field, Lack of management tactics and growing dissapointment in the stands. You along with the other dreamers on here think MH will wave his magic wand in JANUARY AND EVERYTHING WHATS HAPPENED UPTO NOW WILL BECOME A BAD DREAM. YOUR DREAMING PAL. WERE IN DEEP SHIT WAKE UP..

Not denying the fact that we are in shit at the moment, all I am trying to get at is we need to get behind them! Manager and players need us to boost there confidence and tbh stories of unrest and dressing room battles, are quite simply utter bollocks!

I may have misread things about the takeover, but I'm pretty sure that finishing 6th. wouldn't be viewed as "success".

The silence from ADUG is deafening and may not be helpful. I don't think it would hurt to voice serious concern at our league position now. It aint good enough and he needs to be under no illusions that continued under-performance will only have one outcome. That goes for the players too.

If anyone's a salivating cock, it's you lol;) Admittedly, I did go off on one a bit when normally I tend to take a calmer, more rational view of things. The way I see it, you can look at any performances in isolation and say that's why we'd lose a relegation scrap but by the same token perhaps you can explain how we comfortably dealt with the likes of Sunderland and Stoke - the kind of teams that by your reckoning would be the type to turn us over no problem. It's not primarily the lack of fight that's doing for us at the moment (although I admit that's had a little influence on some of our results) - it's the lack of balance and the stupid cock-ups that have cost us more points than us having no so-called backbone although it's fair to say we need at least one more holding midfielder to help shore things up.

Apologies on the atmosphere comment - emotions are running high on all fronts at the moment and I'm every bit as frustrated as everyone else, but I can't help thinking that some of the vitriol directed towards our manager is as much to do with the club he used to play for as it is to do with our form on the pitch. Some of the abuse directed towards him on here is little short of a disgrace and the kind of language that I'd only ever reserve for my worst enemy, not our manager.

Anyway, you're right it's easy to look at games in isolation. Sunderland away for example was all about SWP and we were always gonna win that day I thought. Stoke didn't dish the treatment out to us like they did Arsenal, perhaps thats exactly why arsenal copped for it, considering the lessons they learnt at Eastlands.

Hughes was always gonna have more to do to win some fans over, and I'll freely admit that he started on minus points with me. Partly down to his rag past, partly down to what I perceive to be a mediocre managerial record. I don't wish to over old ground here, but we've replaced a man with an honours list as long as your arm with a man who's achieved nothing as a manager. I keep hearing what a good manager Hughes is and how great he is going to be, but whenever I've asked people on here or in the pub what they base that opinion on, they go quiet.

I don't stand in the ground screaming abuse at Hughes, I'd rather support the team, (I even wave my tartan blanket above my head sometimes) but on forums and when I'm out with other Blues I'll say it how I see it. Basically, I do not want, and never did want Mark Hughes at our great club. And let's face it, he's done nothing to change my opinion of him. If anything things are getting worse.

It seems like alot of our fans only seem to remember the first half of last season and probably the 2 Derby results, hence they seem to cream themselves about Sven. Remember the second half of the season and don't give it oh Sven was not sure about his job etc, thats why we were crap. We would already be in the Championship if we did'nt have the great start.

Hughes needs to do something quick and the Jan window can't come soon enough, lets hope he already has the players sounded out and in place. Otherwise we will be saying bye to Hughes.. I say give him another 1 and half seasons to see what progress is made, but if results continue as they are he'll be lucky to see the next 2 months.

Where we were sat, there is a large amount of animosity being aimed at Hughes and his staff, and I think that is filtering down to the players which is bringing nervousness. Also Sven's fantasitc Strikers (Benjani, Jo, Caceido) just must be off form at the moment!!!
