To be honest I’ve heard very little of the Smashing Pumpkins but from what I have heard I’d say not.

There's a few fans on here going off the album threads so thought it might be an excuse to create a new thread :)
Start with a classic track from Yes.
This is from the Union tour when ABWH joined up with Cinema ex Yes personal. 2 drummers, 2 keyboards, 2 guitars, 1 singer, 1 bassist.
I could kick myself for being too apathetic to go to the show.
Brilliant version.

I bought " The Yes Album " from Yanks probably about 1978-1979 as a 13-14 year old
Its still deeply moving to me now as then.
When I now look and hear the utter shit my 14 year old listens to,its a different world for sure.

I suppose anybody can say anything is bollocks, isnt a 3 minute Pop song by Bananarama Bollocks ?
It was the way music went at the time. Psych/Art Rock developed into Prog Rock.

I think Prog was interesting, the molding together of different genre's. You either liked it, or not. I really liked it. I guess the high standard of musicianship attracted me... I was in awe of people like Steve Howe, Bill Brufford and Rick Wakeman.

I have no problem with people calling it bollocks though, it just opinions :)

Got this album on Vinyl. They were actually playing it in HMV (those were the days).
Went to the counter and asked who it was and they had a bin full of them going for £2 back in the early 80s.

My prog rock god has to be the mercurial Chris Squire - RIP.
