Party wall issues are notoriously difficult you need a good party wall surveyor to sort this out

and get the neighbour to pay his fee ..... which is not unusual.

I waiting to speak to him but no one home, that is the tenant is not home. I need to find out who done it and then speak to them.

I see what you mean! Fucking hell he's not even used anything decorative! A trellis style design would have worked, but it seems he's after complete privacy. What is it now then, about 8ft high?

As long as it is less than 2 metres high (IIRC) there is nothing you can do...(although I'm no expert)

Why not turn it to your advantage and add some greenery...(Ivy or somesuch).. or a big mural of Sergio's title winning goal....got to be nicer to look at than his brickwork

The brick part has been there since the house was built in the 1920's. it some sort of fireplace thing, it actually looks ok and is the same on both sides. The have added the wood on top.

The owner wanted to knock the brick down a year ago and said he had some nice fencing, well if that is his idea of nice fencing he can fuck right off.

Me personally would have taken it all down as soon as I saw it but my wife reined me in. Probably for the best but we shall see.
