easy solution to all this col, if you don't like the newer groups just get the osc to survey their 34,000 members and they can have a mandate too

we will work around the constraints of cm or osc at times to protect them even if some people cannot actually see that and will work with other groups who can speak freely, no harm in that, there are no egos in our groups, no sitting in the tunnel club or next to the directors from any of our groups just hard work and I would say just because a group is new, it doesn't mean they shouldn't be given a chance, after all, in 1949 the osc were new kids on the block !!!
 
Don’t want to be a party pooper but I know for a fact some SC were available at the start of the 21-22 season, this was because after the wipe out of the 20-21 season due to Covid some folks didn’t return. I also know SC have not been made available since 2021.

I think OSC is a force for good but it can’t do the confrontational stuff because it’s basically a volunteer/neighbourhood arm of the club, as is City Matters. Really contentious issues need a body with a degree of independence and a bolshiness that the OSC, which is a committee-structured social club for supporters rather than a union/pressure group, doesn’t have and never has. Personally I’d no more look to the OSC to sort this one then I’d look to the office secretary who organises works dos to represent me in a union dispute, no matter how close to management that secretary might or might not be, it’s a job for someone else. I say that as someone who is in the OSC and took part in the protests and will do again on Friday.

Sorry but it’s a SUPPORTERS club so surely its main aim should be to do good for the SUPPORTERS not for the club? At best it does stuff only for the supporters who are in a supporters club, and not for the supporter base as a whole

Keep doing what your doing WATS, apart from CM Alex you’re the only ones that represent all the interests of all the supporters

I’m in the OSC, but they don’t represent me. The OSC have never canvassed me for my opinions. The OSC takes decisions without consulting their OSC membership. The OSC Rep for City Matters wasn’t elected by the OSC membership.

There has to be an outside voice as well as an inside voice for the fans. The demonstration against Leicester clearly had an impact on Mansour, Khaldoon, and the City directors. I’d go as far as saying they were probably shocked and taken aback by the level of support for the protest amongst the fans.

As you know all too well PB, having been a long serving, and a good City Matters Rep, what is discussed between the Club and City Matters is NDA’d, so City fans don’t know what is being discussed, or what’s going on. We do now, only because the OSC, or is it one person, is disappointed with the statement.

I think they were taken aback, yes. Sounds daft but I thought Khaldoon looked very pensive at Wembley on Sunday.
 
That statement put out by the OSC only reinforces the perception I’ve had for years, which is that OSC’s are an old boy’s knitting circle with an unwelcoming vibe and ‘we’re alright Jack’ attitude who are only arsed about getting their little perks and ticket allocations for their mates.

Of course they don’t want to rock the boat with the club.

I’m disappointed but not remotely surprised.

When the club realises that the OSC don't have the ear of the majority of the fans the OSC might very well be supporting the clubs position and the club giving them nothing for doing it.

If the club thought the rank and file City fan was anything like Kevin Parker then it’s safe to say 1894 have given them a massive fucking shock. It’s years now that 1894 have been organising stuff, working hard, going out on a limb etc and I hate to think how shit the atmosphere would be without them (and if we relied on Kevin fucking Parker lol)

They almost always do.

However, within just one hour of the fans groups announcing they were going to organise the 9-minute protest against Leicester, the club announced that they were going to organise a meeting with City Matters when CM had been waiting 7 weeks for a response after asking the club for that meeting.

Then within days of the 9-minute protest against Leicester, City met with City Matters and then the next day announced a price freeze on ST prices. CM came out after that meeting and said that the club admitted they were initially wanting to put prices up by 2.8%.
