Protest v Wolves

Lad I used to work with had a season ticket for years. Last few seasons he only uses it for rags, chavs, arse, spuds and the murderers. Doesn't even give it to someone else to use. Not interested in watching us " beat mid table and relegation threatened teams".

I think most will be fine with the club taking measures against someone that doesn't attend, transfer or lost their ticket for a set number of games.

I was asked last season by one of the first team players why our home crowd is a lot lot quieter than the away support. I just replied try attending years of football as a normal every day fan and the shit you have to put up with and you'll understand why generally home crowds are less vociferous. But it's not just football its creeping in everywhere throughout life under the guises of security, safety, its for your own protection and every part of life squeezes you further. Ive just flown to Italy and for the first time I've now weighed my own bag and put my own ticket on it. No interaction with another human being now gone like self checkouts. I honestly find almost everything in modern life sucks the fun out of it. People talk less, walk around staring at their phones all day, less and less interaction with each other and worse still their own children.

Don't do this don't do that, it's for you're own good. Oh just fuck off telling us all what to do! I've deviated I know but it all gets in my fucking nerves.

We need to STICK IT TO THE MAN as my wife says.

Self checkouts are fucking brilliant.
 
This will be the City match day experience.

Searches and scanning by stewards outside the ground.
Facial recognition at the turnstiles.
CCTV all over the ground watching everyone.
Stewards all over the ground watching everyone.
Season tickets suspended and withdraw by the club.
Bans.

There'll be a hell of lot more v Bournemouth, whenever it's played, given the short notice of when the game will be played. It's highly unlikely I'll be there on a Sunday evening at 7pm, probably even less when/if it's rearranged for a Tue or Wed night, and that'll mean I'll have missed 3 of the last 4 home games. I used to try and swap shifts if a game was on a day I was working, but I've given up bothering now, I'll list it on the exchange, if it sells great, if it doesn't my seat will be empty. If they eventually ban me from being a season ticket holder for none attendance, they won't ever be getting £71 for one off games like Tuesday. It'll be a sad day, but it'll be what it is.

Luckily I fully retire in July, and I hope to living locally again by next season (first time since 1981), so hopefully I can go to most home games, but even then, if they continue to move games at short notice, I'll continue to list the ticket.

The kick off time is shit for most of our fans.

Luckily for me my 2 days off work are Sunday and Monday.

So I will be in town early doors.

Make sure you do a minimum of 10 home games next season. ;-)

I haven’t been able to attend many matches this season but my seat has only been empty once. That’s for PL and Cup games. I either pass it on to a family member/friend or put it on the exchange.
When I renew it will only be for the PL no cup schemes.

When Khaldoon turns up at the White House and speaks to Donald Trump in person, he isn’t going to worry about what City fans want, is he?

Khaldoon will just see the protests as an irrelevance that can be handled and worked around by the directors who are running City.

As an overseas season ticket holder i have to be choosy about what games to attend. I have to take into consideration the price of flights and even accomodation. Boxing day, new years day and easter Sunday are notoriously expensive times to travel. Rearranged games at short notice also makes us pay a premium for flights.That doesn't include work / family/ sickness issues.
This calendar year i havent gone to as many games as normal as i am saving my ass off to go support the team in America. I know everyone has reasons why the 10 games minimum can be harsh but anyone who lives beyond Britain should be allowed a little extra leeway . I've sold my ticket on the exchange for every game i wasnt at so the club weren't at a loss

The executives.

I have said it before. Before the first protest I doubt Khaldoon or Mansour had any idea fans were unhappy with ticketing. They are pretty busy with other stuff, it's not their job and Soriano will be plying them with survey results and other management consultant nonsense that shows a rosy picture. That is why the protest was so effective, because it will have been noticed. It doesn't matter what message the press got, it only matters that it was visible and referenced by the media/press.

And that is why protests need to be continued. When Soriano tells them agreement has been reached to freeze prices, it's important Khaldoon and Mansour get the message that fans still aren't satisfied with a minimum gesture. There are other issues.

Soriano and his fellow executives are the enemy here, not Khaldoon and Mansour, imho.

They are human they do watch the news and I assume that they at least have a passing interest in football, it's fair to say they'd have to live on the moon to not know.

The clubs direction comes from the top, unpalatable thought but an obvious one.
