Protest v Wolves

Can anyone confirm how many games they have to attend IN PERSON next season? My lad is away at uni and he can’t get to every game as he has lectures and some weekends he has a social life, but he absolutely adores City and doesn’t want to lose his season ticket

It was a guaranteed refund match on the exchange, but far less listed than for Villa as Friday is better then a late notice Tuesday for most.

The ST refunds would easily pay for 10 pints for the median seat.

would suggest there are ways round it though...get his ticket loaded to your phone rather than his so when he doesnt go you can just scan someone else in

10 is fine mate, thanks, I thought I read in here something about 15. He’s got back for about 15 this season but that had been to the detriment of his lectures and seminars (not that he’s arsed) and his weekend social life (he’s a bit arsed)

Why are the Directors tieing the £175 Flexi-Gold scam charge to turning up to 16 home games? What if people can't make 16 home games? Why didn't the directors just drop the £175 Flexi-Gold scam charge?

Also why has the scam charge increased by £25?

You will get refunded for each game you attend. If you attend 16 games or more, you'll have got the full sum refunded. If you attend fewer than 16 games then you will only get part of that refunded. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that?

The announcement is vague because a majority of the capacity increase can be 4,000 - 8,000. And we don't know how it will work (waiting list) but that's to be worked out.
Well they probably don't even know exactly how many seats will actually be in the new stand yet.
They aren't going to release details a year in advance.

sound

10 in person plus at least 6 others transferred or exchanged though so be aware of that

The demand was for more seasoncards and this is from the announcement...

"It was always the Club’s intention to release new Season Tickets as part of the expansion of the North Stand. Whilst the seating configuration of the stand is yet to be finalised, we can confirm that it will be predominantly GA seating and that the majority of the additional GA seating capacity will be held by Season Ticket Members, through the release of new Season Tickets."

That means a minimum of 4,000 season tickets will be released in 2026-27.

A win is a win.
Not necessarily true that it will be 4000 new season tickets because they've said there will also be relocations from other areas too. It's also worth pointing out that all the new "season tickets" start off as Flexi-Gold with an option to transform to a proper season ticket but only if they attend 16 out of 19 games in the 2026/27 season.

Does it? So 100% there will be 4,000 new season tickets in the north stand? Where does it say that?

Not just season ticket holders moving from other parts of the ground
Well this sentence in the announcement says it:

"Confirmation that the majority of the additional General Admission seat capacity, resulting from the expansion of the North Stand for the 2026/27 season, will be dedicated to Season Ticket Members..... and that the majority of the additional GA seating capacity will be held by Season Ticket Members, through the release of new Season Tickets. "

I would take it to mean that at least 4,000 will be new season ticket holders, and:

"As part of our commitment to making sure the next generation of fans can regularly attend home matches at the Etihad Stadium, of the new Season Tickets to be released for the 2026/27 season, we will ringfence a minimum of 50% for Junior Cityzens. "

So at least 2,000 will go to young fans

I supported the protest against Leicester and would have done for today but won't be now for wolves and think it should be called off.

The club have set out a clear route for people to be able to attend every game and be a season ticket holder.

500 people will get to become a flexi holder which gives them the opportunity to attend every game and sit in the same seat.

If they then so wish, they can upgrade to a season ticket by attending 16 games.

That's a clear road map to a season ticket. OK, it's only 500 but will 500 united, Liverpool, spurs or arsenal fans get a ticket for next season that enables them to attend every game? No.
Then 4000 the year after will have the same opportunity. People wanting to take kids to games regularly can now see a clear route to do so.

I also think the changes made with tickets will mean we see the ground a lot more full next season
Hi mate, everyone has a choice and we respect your decision but the protest goes on for those who wish to keep the pressure on, a lot of Blues are unhappy, 2026/27 is not 2025/26 so we will see the same security issues next season once again all over the ground.

All the best

i’ve not had a chance to read the entire statement but it does leave me wondering that if the club were always intending to put 4000 season ticket holders into the new stand as they say, I’m fairly sure they would’ve said that previously either to City (doesn't) Matters or in the wider public domain?

The club defines flexis as season tickets there is no clarity on the breakdown of the proposed changes.

If 4000 become available, then it doesn't really matter where they are.
They were always going to give first dibs to transfer seats to the new stand to existing season ticket holders.
The 4000 new tickets can then pick from what's left of the new stand or the rest of the ground.

Sad that a few ales are a priority.. at today's prices 4 pints is a match txt. I don’t think it’s about preferring beer over football. I’ll be there tonight but to be honest I would rather not have to attend a game at 8pm on a Friday.

The point I'm trying to make is whether it actually will be 4000 new ones plus relocations or 4000 altogether made up of new STs and relocations
