Have you been to China or India? until you do you will realise the protests are futile and pathetic . We in the uk try to deal with this issue and have a thriving green economy within our economy . Meanwhile go to shanghai you cannot see the sky. It’s weird.

They should chain themselves to the Chinese or Indian embassy if they want to make a difference .

Britain, has enshrined in law carbon reduction targets, it's one of the world leaders in it, and reductions have been made,
to demand that the UK is carbon free in 6 years, is woolly minded, Swampy driven lunacy.
Yes, protest is a democratic right, but enough is now enough, when was it suddenly permissible to block roads,
and erect wooded 'Toilets' on pavements? Ordinary workers, now unable to use what is the least polluting method
of transport, trains, have had to resort to diesel fumed, carbon spewing cars to get to work, if the road is free, to be able to support
themselves, because of these people gluing themselves to trains.
Is this sensible protesting? It's like laying on hamburgers for a vegan protest.
Time now to remove them, they've had their fun.

That's akin to saying we've gone to a fully democratic society, it's the best system, others are bound to follow,

For me, the most effective method of carbon reduction is population reduction. This is the fundamental problem, and unlike the antics being witnessed, is actually doable. Until the rapidly growing numbers of humans on the planet is reduced, this action is pointless, the more of us there are, the demand on resources increases, until we eventually consume everything.

Not yet, Eb! I salvaged four of those plastic flags from Wednesday. They're currently in the garage with the other four I got from the Carabao Final. No chance they're gonna end up in the Pacific. Come to think of it, wonder if any of those protesters were flag waving City fans on Wednesday, and then protesters on Friday?

But they have.

Since the west became democratic there are a huge more countries around the world that followed.

What other option do we have? Just sit and hope someone else does something first?

Agree, kind of. I still find it laughable that some people refuse to believe in climate change, but then people give so little thought to anything other than themselves, I don't think they will be happy until the planet is properly ruined.

For me, the only possible way to stop climate change, and care for the future of all the other species on this planet, is for the human race to be wiped out.
