Protests outside a Batley School

An educator would have to be living in a vacuum to fail to realise that showing such images would be deeply offensive to the community and highly provocative. This is a failure of the individual teacher concerned, in my view, and whatever your feelings on religion or the reaction of the community, he should have known that sensitivity around religious issues is a fundamental tenet of teaching.

So this cleric leading the charge from the school gates and publishing teacher's name is also an anti-vaxxer?

Shocked, shocked, I tell ya...

Very sad reading up on the dreadful beheading of the teacher last year for discussing and showing Hebdo in their class.

Apparently a parent published the teacher's name on Twitter after being told by his daughter they had done this in her class.

The same class she wasn't even in because they were a persistent truant and gave school a miss that day.

Imagine having that blood on your hands and no actual law in place to make these faux, outraged grandstanders fully accountable?

Social media needs a full regulatory review.

Seeing it now with that stupid woman of Rooney's.

She rushes to judgment, wants to use the platform to flame Vardy's missus, and is now moaning because lawyers want actual proof and she could be in the hole for £2m legal costs.

Grown ups with the intelligence of goldfish.

nothing in religion is beyond reproach however much you don't like it, that's not to say you shouldn't respect someone's belief, but there is a time and place and with sensitivity

Which Muslims did they ask? They also came out with the following :

52% of Muslims said they "did not know" who was responsible for the 9/11 attacks. 31% said the "American Government", 7% said "Jews", and just 4% said al-Qaeda. One participant in a focus group said, "There was no Jews that were in that day."

The teacher's next door neighbour is Muslim, fled Syria with his family eight years ago.

The man says the teacher is the kindest, brings Eid cards around, halal sweets for his kids, they share food over Ramadan, respective children play together.

Sounds like a right wrong 'un!

I went to have a look around Pollensa old town the other year with my family, baking hot day and wanted to protect my head, so had my golf cap on.

Went to have a look inside the beautiful cathedral and marvel at the stained glass window.

First I declined the 'donation' as I only had a fifty euro notes on me, and then some locals tusked at me continuing to wear my cap.

My dad, not one for religious tolerance, turns to my son and says within earshot, 'we only wanted to see the window, not the skydiver fella on the wall'.

Never change, dad!!

You don't have to be a wrong 'un to make a stupid error of judgement.

Seriously? He teaches in England?

I understand it if he was in an Islamic school.

Nor should any error of judgment, however it can be construed, result in accusations of him being anti-Muslim, with a now very real threat of danger to life thanks to others rushing to judgment.

According to some reports today, the same school showed Hebdo two years ago, with another teacher allowing pupils to take their leave if they would be offended.

If that is the case, it is seemingly not an error in judgment, more an oversight on the part of a teacher who probably now needs to move for the safety of his family.

The school is now the face of it, which in itself, makes it a long standing target for those for shit for brains.
