Protests outside a Batley School

Seriously? He teaches in England?

I understand it if he was in an Islamic school.

Nor should any error of judgment, however it can be construed, result in accusations of him being anti-Muslim, with a now very real threat of danger to life thanks to others rushing to judgment.

According to some reports today, the same school showed Hebdo two years ago, with another teacher allowing pupils to take their leave if they would be offended.

If that is the case, it is seemingly not an error in judgment, more an oversight on the part of a teacher who probably now needs to move for the safety of his family.

The school is now the face of it, which in itself, makes it a long standing target for those for shit for brains.
It's possible to be fucking stupid and lacking common sense without being 'wrong' though.

Absolutely seriously. I do not in any way condone reprisals and nor do I think that a teacher's career should end because of a mistake, but teachers (and I am one) have to be aware of religious sensitivities. One of the basic tenets of Islam is that depictions of Allah and the Prophet are forbidden, even in the mosque. The tiniest amount of research would reveal that and would have avoided this incident before it began.

Luckily he’s not done that either. He’s in England for fuck’s sake.
Where he is is not relevant and it appears that he really has, whatever your personal view. There is a curriculum argument to be had, of course, but if you are teaching Islam, it is right that you are respectful of that religion as it is any religion that you teach. Doing so also teaches children that there are significant commonalities between religions and that being respectful of each creates harmony.

Oh do fuck off. Of course where he is, IS relevant. For a start there are things called laws and he’s broken none.

As for what creates “harmony”, spare me please Mary twatting Poppins. Where is the harmony in the protests and death threats?

Those questions are rhetorical. Anyone that’s posted the post I’ve quoted is definitely not someone I’m going to find common ground with.

I think you must be confusing me with someone who is quite happy to be abused. That is not me so take your language elsewhere. If you wish to have a proper discussion on the reason I feel he made a mistake then I am happy to have it. I won't be swearing at you or calling you names but I am happy to have the conversation.

Good. Off you fuck soft arse, and you can take your Islamist apologies with you.
Shame. I did add to my post. I actually consider any aggression towards the teacher to be un-Islamic but I suspect you would not wish to hear that. It appears your mind is set.

My mind is set in so far as I’m sick and fucking tired of Muslims (and some other flavours of religious followers) trying to usurp British laws based on their religion.

The U.K. does not have sharia law. The U.K. IS a secular state. If these cunts that are protesting want their children to have the Islamic teachings protected by sharia law then there are a great deal many countries they can fuck off to. Much like it I want to walk topless along the road and drink in the street, I need to leave the country in which I reside.

It’s 2021 and these fucking idiots are threatening the life of a British teachers because he showed a fucking cartoon to a class of British students and forced no one to attend. Just read that sentence again. Fuck them.

Many, many Muslims are not part of this issue and would be disappointed at the actions of those protesting.

We are all the things you say but, in my opinion, we should be sensitive. That is not un-British. I have taught Islam many times and I have always avoided showing sensitive images but I have discussed the issue, of course, because children are inquisitive and will ask, "What does he look like?" Or, "Are there any pictures?". I have always said that within Islam, that person is considered so powerful and so important that pictures showing images are considered offensive. We have then moved on to other features of the religion or aspects of the mosque. Granted, I teach primary age children.

I deplore any kind of retribution or threat but I cannot condone what the teacher did as I feel it was insensitive.
