PS4 OR Xbox One

Are there any games people are looking forward to coming out this year? For me it's Bloodbourne, Witcher 3 & the new Elder Scrolls (providing they have tweaked the issues it had on PC).

MGS 5
Uncharted 4
Arkham Knight

Has anybody played "the last of us"? Is it worth buying? I get bored easily, so is it a lot of messing a bout, role playing?
It's pretty damn good. I prefer open world games but this is definitely a must play although replay value isn't great. You can tell the developers put a lot of effort into it. It's essentially a movie/tv series in game form. Good graphics and storyline.

I'd give it 8-8.5. My mate gave it a 10.

Sweet, but is there a lot of watching in the story parts? I really am impatient, I can never be arsed watching the GTA clips, I just press 'x' and guess what I have to do haha.

There are cutscenes but I never felt frustrated. They're actually interesting and add to the game. I usually hate cutscenes too...assassin's creed games are criminal for this.

Agree about 'next gen' being disappointing so far. I played a lot of xbox360. So many good games. Gta, portal 2, red dead etc. Spent a lot of my uni days smoking and playing skate 3 and black ops.

Ps4 hasn't had much choice so far. Looks like it is picking up this year though.

Starwars battlefront
No man's sky
The vanishing of ethan carter
Until dawn

These are the most interesting/highest potential games for me. I love batman but the arkham games still don't seem to excite me enough to play them.

Guarenteed this will be delayed :(

My brother bought me a PS4 a few months back, I've probably played about 5mins on GTA, and 5mins on Drive Club.
Just bored of gaming, used to play 15hrs a day back in my teens haha.

Don't like the PS controller, think I hammered games on the Xbox too much.

I have plenty of games given to me for this Ps4, just no desire to play them.
I will happily take GTA5 off your hands if it's gathering dust ;-)

I (and many others I know) found the first hour or two to be mind-numbingly dull and frustrating. If you get bored easily then there's a good chance that you will hate it in the beginning, too. However, once you get into it and get used to the combat (particularly how the stealth works, and tactics that are necessary) it's a brilliant game, so stick with it.

A tad bored with the games available and upcoming for PS4, every second game seems to a FPS and once you've played one you've pretty much played them all.
I beg to differ. Whilst I agree that there is an abundance of FPSs, not every FPS is the same. Bioshock, Bulletstorm, The Darkness II, Half Life 2, Far Cry 3, CoD 4 MW - all last-gen shooters that were quite different and brilliant in their own way.

People often bemoan the yearly releases of CoD, and how such titles are dumbing-down the market, but for me the worst offenders are EA with FIFA (a consistently boring game that never changes) and Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed (releasing a game every year that is always slightly worse than the one before).

Is there anything for the PS4 that's a FPS like COD but set in WW2/WW1 ? like the old COD's from a few years back.

I just don't like all this futuristic combat shit, with abilities to fly up onto buildings and all this shit.
I want a more traditional combat game, maybe Vietnam or something?
