Are we going to use this for the current season to? PSG just lost to Lens who i think have just been promoted. Not a great start for Neymar and co.

Think this has just highlighted what a lottery the game is and how desperate FAs over Europe are to keep money flowing. Hate PSG but they have been surprisingly done over by their own FA changing rules regarding postponements based on COVID cases. As for limiting attendances that was a joke only opening parts of ground and fans all grouped together. I’m sure the commentator said last week 4 COVID cases and game postponed was changed to having to have 20 players unavailable (surely I’ve misheard this)

7 players unavailable due to covid that’s a farce that the game went ahead in all honesty. Money over integrity once again. It’s unlikely to have any impact on PSG, they’ll but could have a big impact at the bottom. If something like that happens in the premier league I think I’d be done with football entirely until it’s back to as close to normal as possible.

PSG were relatively happy for the game to go ahead rather than have to try and cram in the game elsewhere in their season. They should still have had enough to be Lens.

This is why i call bullshit when people are saying PSG can just rest their players to win in L1. Once again proven false. PSG cannot.

Without our best players, we have almost no margin.

Crap game, rookie mistake from a rookie goalkeeper (3rd GK with only one game experience), 3 academy players playing their first professional game surrounded with the average lot of remaining players (bar Verratti).

Players without physical preparation : final 8 followed by 1 week of holidays and european players called by their national teams. We had no talent on the pitch and no physical preparation.

The real big problem here is sunday game against OM, our rival. It is their best chance to finally beat us . This is very infuriating but the league went ahead because of the new TV deal. Mediapro increased our domestic rights and need new subscribers, hence why the league modified the rule for COVID in order to have the games played and also the reason why the "Classique" is so early in the season (to create a surge in subscription early on). Mediapro director already said it would be fantastic if OM were to win against PSG (they want more suspens in the L1 and are rooting for OM to do well).

I expect a very bad start of the season and we will start dominating our games around the 6th game in the season, granted we suffer no big injury. There is still the risk we might not be champions if the season is stopped before its term and we are stilll lagging behind due to our start.

There is also our big financial problem preventing us from buying worthy players. We are one of the clubs getting the most money through ticketing/hospitalities (100 M a year), thus this Covid crisis have put a terrible dent in our finances.

Anyone think PSG have declined massively?

Their midfield includes the like of Herrera and Gueye. Neymar will/wants to leave. Cavani is leaving on a free next summer. Thiago Silva is 35. Choupo-Moting is their back up striker.

I really think Spurs are probably better than them now and PSG are very close to Chelsea and Arsenal in level.
Btw, PSG didn't massively decline as we have seen last year. However, your post is very relevant for this 2020/2021 year.

In Scotland, St Mirren are being forced to play without their first choice, second choice and third choice goalkeepers tomorrow.
