PSG

They're billionaires so just like us they will be able to be spend what they want. Their team is beginning to look very strong but I think we should wait until they at least win their own league before we can begin to worry.

They are building a top team, and my question is should we be worried
I am sure as well as winning our domestic league our owners will want to push on in the champions league, which looks like it has now been made more difficult ,we really don't want to draw these in our group.
Does anybody know what the financial comparisons are with our owners and theirs,as they seem to not care about ffp at all

Why should they worry about FFP. They are French and Platinis son (Laurent) is employed by them

clearly they should not be allowed to try and win stuff by spending money, as you must do, in order to improve and compete

once you have won stuff you should have a divine right to win it all the time

these ambitious clubs coming along are just ruining it for those that have the right to win it without any unwanted competition

it's a disgrace I tell you and it's not fair boohoo

Hi from a PSG fan who has sympathized with City, since both our clubs share some hate from all over europe.

PSG is a young club (1970), we were already hated in France before we got QSI as owner, and we are even more now with them.
I read your forum since some time and wanted to add some things to my club.

The project of the club is quite clear I think (compete to win the CL in few years), and even us supporters are surprised with the squad we'll get next season. We really thought it would be a bit slower. But we are more than happy, it's just awesome to see those names in our club while 3 years ago we were total garbage.

Anyway, QSI want the world talk of the Paris SG and the Ligue 1, and I think they're doing well actually.

They are also owner of the tv channel that bought the right of the Ligue 1 broadcast and they want a ligue 1 more competitive. Sign Ibrahimovic, T.Silva is not only to make PSG strong, but also to attract worldwide media to have some interest on the ligue 1.

I think next season we will blow up our championship (well I hope with our squad), but some teams in France will get more attractive thanks to us. (but they don't realize it actually)

Lille OSC will be the first to become more and more interesting. They have a brand new stadium (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.grandstade-lillemetropole.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.grandstade-lillemetropole.com/</a>), they build a strong organization and they may have lost Eden Hazard but they sign good prospect (Marvin Martin, S.Kalou for example), and they surely will get more in the next seasons.

Lyon is actually a little broke, but it's because they also build a new Stadium and they will come back stronger in few years.

Monaco actually in Ligue 2, has now a billionar russian owner and might come back very strong, very fast, to compete with PSG.

The Ligue 1 will become more and more competitive and may sell way better in the world in the future.

On PSG side, we will get new training installation, and they are working about what to do with our stadium (always complicated in france). QSI first said they wanted to destroy and rebuild an ultra modern "Parc des Princes" but they are struggling with Paris town.
They might end up building a new stadium on another place but we don't really know yet and we will play in our Parc des Princes until the 2016 EURO in France. We also might move to the Stade de France when there will be works on the stadium.

About the Financial FP, I really don't know how we'll handle in the next years this but our owners definitly know what they are doing and I'm not worried. The town of Paris already has a powerful impact by itself, PSG merchandizing should improve by an abyssal step in the time.

About football itself now, even if it's not official yet, Ibra and Verratti should sign very soon. And we're talking about Modric still even if it appears a bit crazy and he's set up to join Real Madrid.

Balzaretti still on our book and he wants to come to Paris. Problem is may be Leonardo was upset he did not sign last winter lol.

Also talking about Leandro Damiao.

I see you talked about Sakho, Ancelotti don't want to sell him and he said even if he wants to leave, he won't.
Anyway he has to understand what it is to compete with other players to have a place on the team and he might improve a lot with T.Silva and Alex. As a PSG fan, i'm really pissed at Sakho's attitude. He may have really good potential but he's really far from being a top player right now.

Here we go !

I was really happy you won the Premier League, and I now hope both City and PSG will do well this season in our country and in the CL.
Make all the haters more hating because they are just jealous of our new power, and are upset to lose their historical superiority.
If QSI or Abu Dhabi would have invested in they club, they would just be the happiest fans in the world, like we are :D

I hope we won't be in the same group in CL, but if it's the case, City will be welcome to the "Parcs des Princes", even if we promised you some hot atmosphere :)

Juventus' center backs were better. I'm not saying Joleon and Vinny weren't fantastic but Juve went undefeated an let in the fewest goals of all European clubs
I think it's very simplistic to say such a thing when you are comparing 2 different leagues, especially Serie A that is renouned for their compact/defensive approach.

I prefer to take a ratio of games to goals, for and against, and analyse it that way. By doing that you are not just comparing the defence but the overall outcome of a game over the set period.

True, but it looks like they are receiving/going to receive major investment here, and I for one hope they blow their immediate rivals out of the water. What has happened with us and PSG has ensured that the cream rises to the top, and the artificiality of FFP will soon be exposed as an attempt to maintain the status quo, which will start to dawn on certain fans who have not been exposed to it yet. (No fucking Francis Rossi jokes, please).
