I’d say northern quarter would be your best bet.
Shack bar do food i think and there will be plenty of blues about that area.
Most reds i know , tend to go Deansgate side of town.

Got to take the wife for a meal before we go watch Marie Carrie so the compromise is a bite to eat while watching the derby, any ideas where too watch in town with food.

Directors' Box but you needs to book I think. Downstairs in the Tib Street Tavern is okay if you get a table. All Star Lanes seems a good call.

Pie and Ale is a good shout, not too big though if you're looking for a decent atmosphere.
