Pubs before match

I often end up in the Hare and Hounds after warming up in the Lower Turk's Head (virtually next door). They are both packed with Blues before and after matches. We took a bunch of Hoffenheim fans in the Turk's Head which had a live Northern Soul Band on (unusual for midweek). They got so pissed they missed their much vaunted: "march to the ground." But they loved it and they loved the Castle (Oldham Street) later on. The best jukebox in Manchester.
Corbieres does not like this post

Delighted the Castle in Oldham St still going a staunch Rangers and City pub back in the day. Not been in since the seventies great nights there then and bad hang overs in the morning.

7 Brothers is a great bar , no problem with wearing colours and allow kids in , unlike Cask . Went in Cask after a 12-30 ko with a mates 13 yr old lad and they said we had to leave . We went to 7 Bros and and was made very welcome .
we are going in Cloudwater brewery tap & Track brewery tap on Saturday.

Track is miles better btw. Nicer vibe, nicer beer, not as cramped.

Thankfully it is now a modern, 21st century city centre pub that welcomes all comers and all cultures rather than the hotbed of far right bigotry, sectarianism and racism as it unfortunately used to be.
