Clinton Morrison isn’t the brightest in the world, but tbh I quite like listening to him - he comes across as really enthusiastic and a nice bloke, doesn’t take himself too seriously unlike most of the other self-obsessed cunts. Plus just heard him on Sly when the Sly presenter said “will Alvarez be happy on City’s bench” and he said he could play central and wide and would get plenty of game time, fair play to him, fuck of Sly

Not sure why people getting nickers in twist over female pundits. Some of them are really good, better than most of the men. And some are truly shocking, just like some of the men.
I do, however, question some of the gender loaded panels.
One day, none of this will matter. It will just be about who is good enough. after all, shite males have stolen a living for decades (Phil Thompson anyone?.. to name but 1 of many).

The cimmentator's most useful function is to identify players by name.

If you're at the game, particularly at one end, you have no idea who most players are at the other end? On TV you have close up vision of the whole game and can see most players...and replays ;)
........so why does anyone need a commentator?
Unless they are deaf, but then a radio will be fine.

Same here. The only games I've watched all through have been England's. Commentators and pundits are getting worse. Forgive me for asking, but why did we have 3 women on the pitch last night talking about a men's international ? Would we have had 3 blokes doing the same after a Lioness' game ? Not a chance. Even Mrs Bill remarked on it. Nowadays it all seems to be about PC and jobs for the boys/girls. Some of them must have bloody good agents.

Imagine getting a cushy job because of your gender rather than any knowledge of the beautiful game. Whatever next, a bloke on bake off?

Makes me laugh when white middle aged men question Alex Scotts abilities to be a pundit - you can see that unlike her they don't have something like a career in pro football and something like 140 England caps and 70 goals and a degree in sports journalism whereas "Ian" who does the trollies in Morrisons seems to think he knows more....interestingly Jill Scott has much less much less abuse - anyone know the difference in them to explain why?

Despite Jermaine Jenas? I switched between both and stuck to bbc after Ratboys party political broadcasting about workers rights.ITV should have binned him off he thinks he can say what he wants with impunity. He’s a football pundit and not a very good one

As someone who is pretty deaf, I can assure you that the radio is the best…..you can’t hear the wallies at all.
