I think I had an EP with 4 bands with a song each one of which was Blitz. I think The Business were on it too.
One of them had a song called Guatemala. May even have been a free EP in one of the weeklies as I couldn't see me buying it

really liked chron gen, they were nothing like discharge or the exploited more tuneful than your standard punk band and you defo could hear the lyrics, this is one of my favourites

 
Just got Terri Hooleys book to read, as someone who grew up in Northern Ireland in 70s looking forward to it

A brilliant EP followed by a great LP. Saw them in Leeds 1983 in the Queens Hall December Festival, they stole the show even upstaging headliners The Damned. Funny how Pinch went onto drum for The Damned for over 20 years later on. The move into HM territory brought the great Gizz Butt into my hearing though further LP's by Pinch and Wakey's version were never as great as this and Porky Men.
 



The first single I ever bought. Yellow vinyl too!
I know it's not strictly punk (more of a novelty punk song) but when i purchased it from that record shop in Wilbraham Road, Chorlton back in 79 at 11 years old, I thought i was VERY punk!!

What was the intro from Kid Strange about? Widower of Pete Shelley it said? But he was married to an Estonian woman when he died? Am I missing something as can’t find anything on the internet.

Kid Strange is his transexual Estonian widower.
Also the name of the Doctors Of Madness singer as you might know.
