Punk and New Wave thread.

Reading this thread has made me reminisce about some of the gigs i've been to in the past - at the time I didn't think I got to see many of the stars of the day but looking back Ive seen...
Mostly 1977 to 1982

Thin Lizzy... Motorhead
Wayne (soon to be Jayne) County, Stiff Little Fingers, Penetration (all at Erics Liverpool - the original Cavern Club)
Undertones Echo & the Bunnymen Dead Kennedys Spizz Energi
Altered Images Pigbag Stranglers Damned PiL Kraftwerk
Simple Minds Tom Tom Club (a spin off from Talking Heads) John Cooper Clarke
Bob Marley at some god awful leisure centre in North Wales
Mink De Ville with special guests the Greedies (Phil Lynott & and Jones & Cook from the pistols) I think at the Marquee Club
Kid Creole Boomtown Rats OMD and also had tix for Bow Wow Wow - a gig cancelled as part of McLarens hyping of the band at the time

A lot of these are still touring today and probably making more now than they did at the height of their fame (prob to their being exploited at the time)
