QAnon

If you look more into it, it isn't just the USA. The "elites" in every western country are "involved". You'll find Canadians, Britons, and Australians buying into it. Trust me, this laarp hasn't just caught on in America.

QAnon isn't just about Antifa. It goes way beyond that. Moreover, it has been about 30 years since the fall of the USSR. I kind of doubt "propagandists " have been working on The Q idea, that long. It really just came about in the last 6 years, iirc.
It pops up in countries where inequality is highest. The Anglosphere and especially the UK and the USA are the two most unequal countries on the planet. What better way to keep that inequality entrenched than to feed the masses conspiracy bolloxs. Get them concerned about Satanist's and baby eating and those at the top can still garner wealth at an unprecedented rate, which was sort of the point of Macarthyism.

There's a sub reddit called,
r/qanoncasualties
some terrible stories on there, like the lad who got caught up in the Parkland school shooting, he lost 3 friends, but his dad who's a qanon nut now accuses his own son of being a crisis actor.

What I find interesting is how QAnon caught on in such a big way
The internet is obviously full of snake oil salesmen making all kinds of claims The powers that be must be thinking how do we harness this kind of thing to our own benefit. Assuming elements of the state were not behind Q
I don't see it as different from medieval witch hunts and medieval ritual child sacrifice panics

Read an interesting piece by Edward Snowdon last night hypothesising on the state of mind which the internet induces in us. He calls it Apophenia, the conspiracy of one that surrounds each of us.

People live in their own reality. Google, Facebook, Youtube, Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, all avowedly aim to get people to tailor what they read and watch and hear, to an unprecedented degree. You can avoid 'reality' totally, and live entirely in a world of voices that meet your preferences and needs.

So the that what we are reading and listening to is a conspiracy, the product of one guiding mind, is true. It's our mind, reflected back to us, in all the cuts and edits we make in creating an internet existence where we ignore what we dislike, all the likes and dislikes, and all the opinions and little phrases and arguments that we react positively to, and then use for ourselves. A vicious cycle.

Is there any evidence that the US and UK are “the two most unequal countries on the planet”?
