It will have told the referee there were multiple touches of the ball in a certain space of time. All the ref does is confirm who touched it and whether the offside player is active in the play. It was clear in this instance the keeper punched it on to the Ecuador players head so the last touch was his.

I'll be honest, this world famous El Classico between (*checks notes...) Ecuador and Qatar is a bit overrated isn't it?
