You are the one eluding to Pep tactically shitting himself at the business end of the Champions League.

You know, the same competition he has won twice before.

You asked what reason Mahrez could have played instead of Sane, without even acknowledging we could be without Bernardo for the next few games.

There was nothing out of the ordinary last night, just the outright execution of it from a group of players who have hardly been convincing in recent weeks, whatever the justified tiredness.

More possession, more shots, more tackles.

Sounds familiar enough to me.

Time to strap on your big boy pants Marv because the games are only getting tougher.
Time to stick to our attacking football. He was the one who got scared by memory so pulled in the horns.

It was safe harmless possession. You know it was safety first. Don't pretend otherwise

There's always more than one factor in a football match and in any complex behaviour but City's strength is our attacking flair. You only draw in your horns when you face a more dangerous opponent or when you have a genuine fear of losing.

No one has yet explained how City were stronger by playing Mahrez, playing a defence minded midfield, whilst leaving Sane and KDB on the bench.

Of course I can not say for certain Guardiola's decision led to the defeat but our form, and results and logical analysis of the strengths of our side suggest he did indeed get it wrong again in Europe.

We also lost at Anfield in the Q/F last season and I recall similar question marks then about our approach. He was also criticised at Bayern, indeed if you remember when he came here, the media said he left Bayern defeated and questioned in Europe. It's not so easy to dismiss this criticism.
You clearly have made up your mind despite several posters putting forward an alternative point, so I will leave you to mope

No, but many seem to be able to predict playing the stars would - what's the difference?
Stick to the formula that took us to the brink of a quadruple. Why change it? There was no need.

Bernardo was a big loss. All the more reason to play our other creative players.

He likes to make surprising changes at the high pressure CL games which doesnt pay off usually. High pressure CL games means not Schalke, or Basel etc.

We had the luck in knockout stages since Pep is here not to face any of Atletico, Juventus, Barca, Real, Bayern. thats a big thing as with Pellegrini we got Barca two times in the last 16 already.

But chances are that even the Monaco, Liverpool, Spurs level is very hard for us.

And for 80 mins we had no issues, in fact that spurs side were on the wane, but tbf because delph made an error they got lucky.

Yes the subs were too little too late, but for a missed pen and one mistake we were the better team

That spurs team is wank and we have no reason not to expect to twat them next week
