Whatever about the team selection, I think his reaction to how the game was going was very slow. Poor you could say.
The two 88th minute substitutions were pointless.
Perhaps we were happy at 1 nil knowing they have to come to us twice and perhaps they weren’t made to try and get a goal ,maybe it was to run the clock down and stick with what we had
God knows but he rarely makes the wrong decision we are still in the hunt for three more trophies last night was the first half we have another game to go.
Would he make the same decision at 1 nil down in the league I very much doubt it

Frustration more than anything else.

Predominantly the feeling that the line-up and instructions to the players was different to the norm/expected.

If we’d got beat playing our ‘usual game’ I think the responses would be different.

If by this time next week we have successfully negotiated Palace and yourselves everything will be alright with the world again ;-)

We have a normal style of play but what Pep is good at is adapting to the opposition ie playing an aggressive centre half against Brighton to nullify Murray.
I believe he didn’t want a result like Liverpool last year that effectively put us out of the competition
One nil away at Spurs with a massive crowd and new stadium feel good factor can be overturned

You are misinterpreting the critcism.

I didn't blame Pep when we lost to Newcastle, or Palace or Leicester. That was part of football. However when the coach unexpectedly changes his tactics and players, and loses a game and our run of 22 wins in 23 come to an end, there should be questions about what he was trying to do.

Had City just been heavily beaten, lost at Spurs then a change would have been understandable. All season long we've slogged away, and plundered goals against everyne p,aying fantastic attacking football and then for some reason we change it all and play safe. Why?

Because of Liverpool away last season.

Pep's a genius and he's protecting our players with his comments. Prob a case of the players not being able to quite implement his tactics on the night.
Maybe, but he didn’t seem unhappy after the game and when he is unhappy he tends to show it.

Yeah, noticed that. He knows the comp inside out. I love his risk and reward ethos. Slightly worrying me are Gundo's comments about us getting nervous in big Ch L games. A two legged tie against Spurs is like a Carabao semi or two games in the Prem.

I cannot handle the idea of another English team going further than us this year. And watching Manure v Barca - Barca looking like us albeit they've tailed off. If Manure can get at Barca - then we have every reason to think we can win this thing - next week permitting.......

If the rags only lose 1-0 at home they will think (and the media) that they will have a good chance to overturn the loss in the 2nd leg, away, against Barca.
We on the other hand have to overturn a 1-0 loss, at home, against Spurs.
And we know how it will pan out. Typical!
