Note to Pep

In important games, play your best side. Not an equivalent League Cup side v Port Vale

Delph is no more a left back, than Kylie Minogue is a prop forward

Mahrez. The biggest damp squib, since the impending doom of the Millennium Bug. What a let down.

Jesus.
If he's caught offside in training, fine him a grand. If he's caught offside in a match, fine him five grand. He'll soon stop.

Get your team to attack again. Energy conservation is bollocks. It NEARLY cost us, on Saturday

From memory Leroy played well in the recent games v Spurs so I don’t understand why Mahrez was started who to me he’s a one trick, not a good one, pony.

It's a Pep masterclass in game management. When we win the next 3 games, many will realise that this was the game where he correctly rested a few for the battles to come. Didn't go brilliantly, but, 1-0 is manageable.
Keep the faith brothers.
This is my (our) take on it too. We took it slow against cardiff and brighton too, but we're in the cup final, we beat cardiff, and we can get past 1-0 at home against spurs with a slightly more rested team raring too go (if this is deliberate though, he better not do this against palace or we'll lose).

I know the rules have changed but I don't think that should have been a penalty, the miss might have even affected us negatively too if anything. Would have preferred Kane stayed uninjured, Delph was not at fault for that either way but I don't want any excuses if/when we turn the tie around at home.

Said it last season, in the CL our manager is a coward and inept.

We'll NEVER win this competition with him in charge.

They scored 78min. We make substitution 88min. Explain .

He didn't want to use De Bruyne or Sane tonight because I'm almost 100% certain they're both starting in the more important game vs Palace. I was surprised they came on at all in the end.

If winning tonight was absolutely everything, Bernardo would have been risked, De Bruyne and Mendy would have started and Sane would have come on at half time. However, winning tonight was not the be all and end all.

Mahrez played well at Spurs in the league, scoring the deciding goal.

Yep. This time last year we were staring down the barrel after the first half hour. I’d sooner be level but it might be 1-0 to us inside three minutes at our place.
