Why are so many people blaming Delph, he didn’t take a f’in horrendous penalty.

Two penalties this season may cost us the league and CL. They may slap have no impact on our season

There must be a really good reason why we didn't play our normal players and didn't play at our normal tempo.

Snails pace doesn't suit our players.

Snails pace has been seen a bit recently. It’s okay when we are 2 up and closing the game out. Try it at Palace and we’ll be in trouble.

This results all boils down to the Manager, forget rotation, win away leg with best team then in 2nd leg you can rotate. If he's supposed to be taking one game at a time, palace match does not come into play. Imo.

1-0 is a horrible scoreline to have to turn around at home in a second leg. Sure, on a good day we're capable of sticking 4 or 5 past spurs, but spurs aren't a shit team and we can't just assume we'll have it our own way. It's awful having to play out the last 10-15 mins if we only get 1-0 ahead. They nick one and you suddenly find yourself needing three. Unless we blow them out of the water in the first half it's going to be extremely nervy.
I'm absolutely certain that Spurs will score at our place and we're going to have to win 3 - 1. Horrible wait until next week.

Second leg (and Palace actually) is a clean slate now.

I never imagined we’d keep winning and winning and especially right through to the end of the season. But we can start a fresh now and this was the game we could afford to lose and it’s only 0-1.

No away goal but we are well capable of a good 3-1 win next week.

A lot of players will be fresher for not playing Saturday or today n’all

In fact, Mahrez performance was better than Aguero's but you just can't admit it. You prove my point.

Neither great... but one tried to be positive every opportunity, the other didn’t and passed the responsibility at every opportunity. Guess which is which.

Its a far point. Did you just login to slag off the team you support?

No of course not - disappointed in the performance and more so Peps team selection in such a big game.

I don’t just post on a city forum to slag the side off why on earth would I do that? My opinion is that Mahrez isn’t good enough and he’s proven that all season - maybe shite is harsh but he certainly doesn’t suit our side.
Laporte was quality (as always) if that helps.

I said before the game the biggest threat to us not winning was Pep overthinking it and picking a silly team.

And so it proved.

If he’d played those 11 players in their proper positions it wouldn’t be so bad, but 44fucking2? What’s he thinking there?

Our 2 best attributes are high and wide wingers isolating their fullbacks, and and extra man in midfield dominating possession. But that shape today negated both of those things. Absolutely bizarre!
Totally agree. Its becoming a trend in the big games by overthinking in my eyes. I believe he didn't want a repeat of last year and tried to stifle Spurs but it had a negative effect going forwards and Spurs dont play with a higher intensity as Liverpool. I think they were there for the taking if we played our normal game. We have a mountain to climb now but I still believe we will do it.

Very odd team selction and tactics from Pep today. I do not think we can realistically win all four trophies. I would take going out of the chumps league in Exchange for the domestic treble (as long as the dippers or rags do no win the UEFA pot)

In some ways having a clear target to go at might be good for the second leg. Score two without reply and we are through

If the Dippers played VVK at right back they would fall to pieces , the drop in quality from Otto and Laporte to Otto and Stones or Vinny and Otto it is minimal , and Laporte has performed superbly at left back when required , Pep got it wrong tonight , not often he does , but he f*cked up big time.

We certainly can’t play Delph again so if Mendy isn’t for them it has to be Laporte.

So it seems the decision not to start KDB was tactical because he wanted 2 holding players. Pep has said that was tough for Kev.

I bet it was, quarters of the CL and on the bench. Kev wants to win the big honours and he’ll believe he could have made a difference tonight. We need to go through, don’t want that simmering.

In fact, Mahrez performance was better than Aguero's but you just can't admit it. You prove my point.
Aguero was not worse than Mahrez as he had fuck all service. But Aguero’s performance has fuck all to do with Mahrez being a complete bottleless waste of space AGAIN.
