Question Time

It's quite conceivable I won't vote, or that I will spoil the ballot.
It depends on what other parties say in 2024 (?).
It is certain sure I am not voting for any party that is willing to prolong this ruinous madness. In the words of the late Rev. Dr. Ian Paisley: 'Never!'
Vote Green, mate, you’re spoilt ballot is right there.

Brian, Brexit is by far and away my biggest concern in current affairs and hence in any election. But the current government is The Brexit Party in all but name. It’s all they are about and why they lie and fuck everything up. You have to vote for anybody to get them out. If you don’t vote or spoil the paper you are enabling them and prolonging Brexit.

Basically, a Remainer voting to keep Brexit. I’m fairly certain Bri is not an enabler, he has to much about him.

Let me put this in plain terms:

My conscience will not allow me to vote for a party that supports Brexit and opposes Freedom of Movement.

You must follow your conscience, I must follow mine.

Now, if you wish to debate this with other people feel free. But please do not include me. If Starmer rang me personally and offered to make me Earl of Bury it would make no difference, still less any lesser consideration.

Because they are all about winning, even if it means that the country is hamstrung for generations. That their core vote is from pensioners, and that a significant proportion of the Brexit vote was from the same group, they dare not speak ill of it.

The last twelve years has been a pretty much unmitigated economic and social disaster.

I understand. I'm as anti-Brexit as you are but to me Labour represent the only chance of turning things around. You must obviously vote Libdem then, but don't spoil your paper or not vote. Every person who is not on the political right needs to cast their vote to end this nightmare in whatever way they see fit.

Nothing obvious at all.

It's not LibDem policy to rejoin the EU.

Their four-stage plan is as follows:
  • Taking immediate action to improve links with our European neighbours, including building closer ties in education by reforming the government’s Turing scheme.
  • Further steps to build confidence and establish stronger relationships with Europe, including seeking cooperation agreements with EU agencies, returning to Erasmus Plus and seeking to reach a UK-EU agreement on asylum seekers.
  • Deepening trade with Europe, including by negotiating greater access for our world-leading UK food and animal products to the Single Market, securing deals on sector-specific work visas and establishing mutual recognition of professional qualifications.
  • Once the trading relationship between the UK and the EU is deepened, and the ties of trust and friendship are renewed, aim to place the UK–EU relationship on a more formal and stable footing by seeking to join the Single Market.

And I don't think the Green Party has quite caught up with reality yet. They voted this year for rejoining the EU "as soon as the political situation is favourable" but they're against accepting the Euro.

See how many votes the Rejoin EU Party gets in the Chester by-election next Thursday.

Another example of her butting in on a Labour or centre left panellist whilst they are making an important point. It’s fucking disgraceful

No - its balance

Ha ha ha ha - the bias so so naked and obvious - any claim to her being a serious journalist is up there with that of Allegra Stratton's
