Im sorry for the innocent ones that died just like I’m sorry for the victims of war. However, I truly mourn my family and friends who have passed away, proper tears, not crocodile ones for people I’ve never known and especially not 30 years later.

When do the Dippers stop imposing their fake grief (families and friends excepted) on the rest of us and just remember the victims in Dipper privacy? They hold a grudge that’s irrational and makes it impossible to move on, the World would be an even shittier place if compassion and forgiveness weren’t part of the healing process. Intransigence is a terrible trait.

When the jury couldn’t reach a decision over David Duckenfield the twats were all over it demanding a retrial. They want an elderly man to go to jail for making the wrong judgement call, he fucked up but he didn’t get up that morning with the intention of killing 96 people. They even wanted Ambulance people tried in court,these are professionals who treat their underpaid jobs as a vocation but the Dippers wanted blood, wankers.

Well people were commenting on the sun here in relation to their political scumbaggery, you made the scousers part of the conversation and I responded in kind.

As this is the politics forum not general football, let's put the scousers to one side and back onto the topic and I will just say in my opinion generally, especially politically the Sun is a paper owed by a ****, employing some right twats and spouting vile xenophobic bullshit and is a stain on the countrys media.

In your opinion, I’ve never bought it and never will but it’s everyones right of choice to buy read it. How’s the left wing doing with the xenophobic anti semitism issue? That’s a bigger stain than a two bob rag.
 
A few things-

Genuinely disturbing to hear the rhetoric pouring out of the angry faces in some of the audience, about the suspension of parliament.

We’ve entered the moron phase in our politics.

Why have people suddenly forgotten that we’re a parliamentary democracy and a non-binary referendum will never ever trump a General Election?

At long last a question this series that is not Brexit related - sadly about suicide rates amongst the young. Guy who asked is a brave fella who's 16 yo daughter took her own life 1 year ago tomorrow. The whole tone of the programme has changed - become less febrile and forced politicians to behave like grown ups. Well done Chris the questioner but its so sad that he even has to raise this point.

I was sat there thinking I could argue better for the LibDems than the man who nearly led them.

The one thing that has annoyed me more than anything else is the misconception that direct democracy trumps parliament.

Parliament is the beating heart, the rock, the cornerstone, the epitome of our democracy.
 
Turns out last nights QT contained another Tory activist who was allowed a question to lay into Labour and Corbyn. Happens from either side but this week of all weeks you'd have thought the BBC would have screened out any activists from any party ....... as I said the question about suicide in young people was the first question in ages that brought the debate back to what it used to be - proper discussion and debate not just shouting party political broadcasts from each questioner and panel member. As a programme its finished in the current format.
