I think you might have misheard the words slightly ;-)It was so noticeable that suddenly the Everton fans started to leave in droves and then we started singing the 'you've had your day out now off you go home' song!! It started just before our third goal but escalated like someone had sounded the fire alarm after the goal!! :-)
Earlier I'd said to someone how great it was that they had brought such a good contingent!! Famous last words.

I’ve always just held my phone in front of the scanner, as I would if using Apple Pay etc , I’ve never had to insert it into the readers. I have 2 season cards on mine and they both work first time. I wonder if some scanners / turn styles are different which is adding to the general confusion ?

The Everton away support has become very quiet in recent years but to be fair their team doesn't do much at our place to inspire them. I also think Rafa'a dire style of football is sucking the life out of them.I could see them but I couldn't hear them. Very strange for a large crowd.

Haven't had a single problem. My old fella had a bit of an issue with the NFC at the start of the season, but the barcode worked fine. All sorted since October for us.

The wife didn’t make me lunch before I set off so I was looking forward to the burger. Must be the worst food selection at any ground I’ve been to.
The food outlets outside are as good as you will get countrywide. Northern soul grilled cheese place is amazing. Heard the hip hop chip shop is the same and the burrito place. Don’t eat in the ground.
