Queues

Queues were especially big today even where there isn't normally more than 2-3 people in the South stand lower had a large queue.

For some reason they closed off 2 queues, if its a staff shortage issue then fair enough but they had 2 people with the wands checking and 2 people behind them just stood there watching them doing literally nothing, they then had one guy just stood staring into space in the direction of the snaked rails presumably monitoring the queue although I've no idea what for. In that small section alone that's over 50% of the staff completely redundant as queues mounted, rain poured and people get impatient. Piss poor organisation.

A pal of mine got the train from Shrewsbury where he now lives.... posted pictures on Facebook (tried but can't post them here) outside the ground at 3.10pm.
Lots and lots of fans in a queue..... he gave up.... went to get a few pints and caught an early train home.
No doubt the empty seats wankers will be at it again today yet how many fans were there but simply gave up trying to get in?
This joke isn't funny anymore......

my mobile took its usual 5 to 7 swipes from all angles before it finally worked going in today,me nippers worked first time as is the case

the stwerd had called over a senior stwerard when my mobile eventually worked,im getting really bored of it

I saw that. M2. 2 scanning security guards going through the motions and scanning nothing. 1 security guard with a face mask on behind the 2 security guards scanning was doing nothing. The security guard you mentioned was stood in-between 2 closed lanes, just looking around. He must have been laughing his bollocks off at the other security staff scanning. It’s a f***ing farce. It’s nothing more than box ticking by the club, the PL, and the authorities. And us daft c*nts have to put up with it every home game.

That is a poor state of affairs.

I got to M1 (entrance for SS3) just before 2.35 and got in my seat just after KO. The queue as I was at the turnstile was at least as long as when I arrived and people were still coming in 25 minutes after KO.

The problem seemed to be with the scanners as when I held my phone close to it nothing happened. I had to get to the QR code and then put my phone in the slot. Everyone appeared to be struggling to scan their phones and many didn't appear to know what to do if it didn't work.

Seemingly there will be new turnstiles installed in SS but it appears to be a state secret and also new scanners are being installed at every turnstile allegedly. My question is when? I stand by my comment about Danny Wilson as he is head honcho for operations and it is a disgrace.

The question is why.
What was wrong with the system last season and the previous seasons?

I got in around 2.00 pm at SS3. No problem whatsoever. Guy who did the security was very friendly, scanned first time at the turnstile.

As we sit on the aisle it was very clear that some fans were still coming in at 3.25. That’s a quarter of the game missed. Very poor.

It is. A "Legacy fan" home and away 80's / 90's / 00's who now says that's it for him....

I think I’m on the verge next season. I’m trying desperately hard not to jack it in as City have been an important part of my life since I was 9 years old. I’m now 53 years old. But I’ve had enough of how football has turned out. And it’s getting worse.
