Well I feel there is definately a divide between those that feel that are the genuine blues and those they feel have appeared recently. Unfortunately those older blues may not all be from ethnic minorities so used to an enviroment where they socialised mainly with fellow people from the same race. This allows for certain comments to be ignored which might be offensive in the presence of other people from other race groups.

My two pence is that if more people could adopt a live and let live approach to the things that they hear and see, and offer less resistance to such trivial verbal indiscretions it would allow more energy to be focused on genuinely vile and disgusting prejudices when they do occur (which is hardly ever, in my experience).

Not true at all mate. City crowds have always had a fair share of ethnic minorities due to the ground location in Moss Side. It was pulled because there were several posts in there that breached the site CoC. If it was one or two it would probably just have been cleaned up but frankly there were too many posts that needed deleting.

When I first started supporting City in 1970/71, I can vividly remember United fans at school referring to City as a black club, because of it's location. It was the early 70s though and they didn't word it as politely as that.
