I don't know what his mum does, but you seem to be implying that if I can't prove that his mum is NOT a prostitute, then it's ok to sing that she IS a prostitute, as though people are just singing because they think it's a fact. Actually, people are singing that because they're stereotyping that all African women are AIDS ridden prostitutes. Not one of the people who sings that song sings it because they think it's true. Don't be talking down to me as though I'm being a finickety PC thought-policeman when I'm talking about basic respect for other people please.

Err, Is it just me, or did you totally dodge the question?
but yeah, the song is authentic in every way, it was the result of extensive research into his family history by a small, but dedicated team of post-graduate spurs fans. they don't sing anything that hasn't been through the peer-review process. I believe someone tried to start a song about Andrei Arshavin's uncle and aunt being cousins, but it was stamped out as soon as it became apparent that the relations in question were in fact only related to each other through the re-marriage of one of their parents.

I think we've had a problem inventing new chants for a few years now. 'Istanbul, we are coming' has been a flash in the pan in that time for me. Regardless, this is away fans we're talking about, people aren't daft enough to think that singing an offensive chant about one of our own players is a good idea, everyone obviously thinks the 'wife's a bit sore' tune is all harmless good fun, I hope he feels the same way, and tbh I reckon he probably does.
Or do you genuinely think that the 'dad washes elephants, wife is a whore' song is ok? Does sound to me like your dodging that question, possibly because you think I'm one of the guardian 'vegan, private educated ponce' brigade and want me to rise to the ambiguity.
