I wonder if they picked the City v Liverpool game because the teams are managed by foreigners and have a large number of black/mixed-race players (Sterling, TAA, van Dijk, Fernandinho, Ake, Walker etc.)
That could be any club in the league to be fair.
Where I work is slightly above minimum wage but it's definitely not as much as people should be on to live comfortably. Its a legal requirement for agency or zero hours staff to be paid holiday pay. I think you can forego holiday pay if you're a freelance contractor. But it's illegal to put someone on that status if they are actually a normal employee, and I've definitely heard of companies getting sued by unions because of that and being forced to give supposedly freelance staff a proper contract, and then pay a load of backpay.Could be thinking of bank staff then maybe but they tell me they don't get holiday pay for whatever reason.
I've worked on temporary contracts (2 months) where taking a holiday wasn't possible, so they paid out the holiday pay in addition to your standard wages instead. If I remember rightly, it worked out as something in the region of 7 or 8% extra pay.
