Exactly this....

seems our owner has turned some supporters into spoilt brats tbh...

Dzeko not good enough ??

How incredibly pathetic that statement is.
I didn't mean the player himself int good enough I meant 1 good game in 4-5 games isn't. Thats because our play doesn't suit his style and yes it suits Bayern. He scored against qpr yes but his last good game which I say was an 8/10 rating was arsenal in CC. I don't remember him having one good game in 2012 maybe Wigan.

Tbh Rooney only has one good game in 4-5 yet he's still lauded as Englands best player.

That's because England are shit

I knew it and I bet they don't have the money to pay it either. Who will bid first for him is the question, if Mancini isn't bluffing our main targets are van Persie or Cavani. I hope Chelsea's faith in Torres is strong, a Hulk/Hazard/Mata/Falcao front four...

Europa League winners Atletico Madrid still owe FC Porto €28.6 million for the transfers of Falcao and Ruben Micael, according to a report in AS.

The Spanish side signed the duo from the Dragons in a combined deal of €45 million last summer.

Falcao scored two goals in this season's Europa League final as Atletico won their second European title in three years. Meanwhile, Micael joined Real Zaragoza on loan for the 2011-12 campaign.

In a report sent to market accounts and made public, it highlights that Los Colchoneros have yet to pay off the transfer fee, with €28.6 million still owed to the Portuguese giants.

The transfer fee was sanctioned in August 2011 under the mediation of agent Jorge Mendes, with Atletico confident that they will meet the payments agreed between the two parties.

Atletico ended the Primera Division season in fifth place.

Has Chelsea signed Marco Marin too? If I were a Chelsea fan, I'd be excited about next season. That is a fantastic front cast they have put together.

That doesn't look good for Atletico.

LoveCity, didn't you speculate that Aguero's fee was taken by the tax authorities? Looks like that was spot on, as you'd think they would have paid the fee with that.

if they failed to meet the payments then they would be hit with a transfer embargo i think. the players ownership would be unaffected.

According to reports today Chelsea look set to offer around £50m and yes I believe they have also added Marko Marin.

I think we can see from the way Chelsea are injecting quality into their squad that they will possibly be our main rivals next year. I am just a bit unsure as to who their manager will be??

Either they have already lined someone up and he is having input on who he wants to target or Abramovich is picking a team for himself which could be dangerous for any manager

Ok just to add that Chelsea have possibly had a fee of £38m for Hulk agreed with Porto. With the way they are going about things it will be interesting to see the FFP as they have the highest wage bill already and it will surely increase??

It does look like athletico are under significant financial pressure to pay the debt judging by todays reports, which state that they may have to sell falcao. the plot thickens as they say!

One positive Chelsea getting Hazard and targeting Hulk indicates that they're not after Falcao. And he seems to have the right mentality; no trouble on or off the pitch and seemingly unaffected by money.
We need a player who, like Yaya, consistently turns up in big matches.
With our supply, he'd comfortably be the top scorer in the league (or Kun!).

Chelsea have always been rumoured to be linked to Falcao but the Hulkster seems to have his heart set on playing for them and from the paper talk it is a mutual admiration society, so to my untrained eye the door remains ajar for Falcao.

Theyve definitely spent something close 200 mil since they bought Luiz if these deals are true.
'If the £40M Hulk transfer is concluded, Chelsea have spent £261.1M in the last 2 years. More than Man city (£230M) #MCFC #CFC'
I tweeted this last week and got 68 retweets;) haha. On a serious note, i thought we spent alot, but i have no idea how they are going to coincide with FFP.

Do we actually need him? He seems similar to Kun and with Kun starting his second season I can only see him getting better. Would be a lot of money for someone who is not any better than what we have for the type of player (Kun), yes he is better than Edin but they are different. If we change any of the strikers I would only replace Edin with RVP, but would be equally happy if they are stayed and we introduced Gudetti as a 5th striker

Unless Lukaku is going to rot on the bench, I'm starting to think this is a smokescreen. I just can't see this deal getting pushed through. They have had zero amortisation on any of their star players. There net turnover will roughly be 230m over the past 18 months. They could post record losses that would dwarf us in comparison.

Chelsea are after him also, fookin hell.

Roman ain't fucking around is he.

Where is Castiel when you need him.
I'm not sure. I've been an advocate of getting him for years (and Aguero before he went to City) but it seems a bit unreasonable, even for Roman, to spend this kind of money on a striker after Torres. If we could trade them Torres for Falcao Chelsea would be set but the situation seems to be that Atletico are desperately in need of some cash. On the other hand if we outright buy Falcao, we'll have spent close to 100m on 1 position in 3 years, which is pretty ridiculous. It'd also kill Torres' chances here. I have a feeling Sturridge will be sold.

I thought this thread needed rebooting.

Based on what Tolm has said RVP may well have been dropped like a hot potato, the B Grade film producer (Napoli's de Laurentiis) says he wants 70 mill for Cavani and Ibra seems to generate a lot of hostility from the forum members.

In fact there has been very little talk recently in the media at all about this great player. His club are in a significant financial hole and we have a previous relationship from buying Sergio.

Any thoughts?

Chelsea are still persistently linked with him in the same way we're linked with Cavani... lots of talk and no genuine information about an offer yet. I'm not going to hijack this thread with my Falcao love-in again but fingers crossed we show some interest. :D

It would be the second year in a row we take their best player.

If I could have any striker in the world at City it would be Falcao. We can dream.
