Radamel Falcao Zarate

Falcao is simply world class and I would hate to see him go to a rival team. I would love it, love it, if he signed for City,

Falcao committed to Atletico
Prolific striker will not be pushing for summer switch

Highly-rated frontman Falcao insists he has no plans turn his back on Atletico Madrid after just one season with the Primera Liga outfit.

Atletico spent big on the Colombia international last summer as they attempted to cover the double blow of losing Sergio Aguero and Diego Forlan.

The former Porto man has not disappointed, netting 33 times in 46 appearances.

Having been able to take his prolific form with him from Portugal to Spain, the 26-year-old is once again drawing admiring glances from afar.

He is considered to be one of the finest frontmen in European football and there would be no shortage of willing takers were he to hint at a switch.

Rumours

Falcao claims to be perfectly happy in the Spanish capital, though, and insists failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League would not force him towards the exits.

"The fact is that I signed a four-year contract with Atletico," he told Radio Nacional Spain.

"That is the reality and not the rumours in the papers.

"I arrived intending to be here for a long time and it is my dream to be remembered by the fans for helping them to celebrate titles.

"If Atletico do not finish in the Champions League places it will hurt, but it will not mean that I will look to be sold in the summer."

Be interesting to see him play in the Europa League final.

Great goal scoring record. If Tevez goes then this guy would be a good replacement, different but good.

What a striker, what a goal in the EL final, one of my favourite strikers, once again I'l say, if dzeko leaves sign this guy, brilliant in the air, a brilliant poacher.

We should go for Falcao - he would be an improvement on the current squad. IMO we should only consider players who are better than we currently have in any position on the pitch

Bobby, sign him up!
Unbelievable European record. He works hard, has a great goalscoring record in a mid-table team and has been extremely consistent in two leagues. Younger and less injury-prone than Van Persie and the transfer fee wouldn't be going to a league rival.
Like Yaya, he seems to be a big game player, which we'll need for Europe.
He would definitely thrive from the insane amount of creativity we'll have (Silva, Nasri, possibly Hazard) and bursting runs (Yaya, Aguero, Tevez).
Another thing is he is one of the best heading attackers in Europe, so we wouldn't have to bring Kompany or Lescott forward for corners, hopefully resulting in less goals conceded.
If Hazard is as good as people say he is at corners, and Falcao is as good at heading as people say, that's a devastating partnership.

Come on Bobby, you know it makes sense.

silva s quality at corners remember last monday" silva takes the corner kompany rises like a salmon as united defence stand and watch like statues goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllll ! u boys took one hell of a beating!! make that 2
