If we both bid, would he come to us?

Put yourself in his boots, first choice at Chelski in the bright lights of the capital or rotated at ours in rainy Manchester......?
You're nt the most positive of people are you mate.

London hardly a tropical paradise is it? Who would want someone who bases their decision on a weather forecast anyway? If its correct he wants to come to England that's evidently not his motivation as stronger clubs in Spain would surely want him. He's also a "devout christian" according to the esteemed truth bible that is wikipedia so maybe the "bright lights" you're referring to wouldn't interest him as much as some.

Just spoke to Alan Nixon (@reluctantnicko) and he's one of the journalists who certainly believes Mancini was taking a look at Falcao.

And as a Blackburn fan what would it matter to you? :-)

Seems that Courtney Meppen Walter case (AKA the murderer in your words) isn't quite as cut and dried as you made out...

Black and white.

Balague says PSG plan a January bid. :/

I don't think we can compete with them if we want Falcao as long as we take FFP seriously, as PSG will just meet the asking price and be done with it. Ibra/Falcao... good lord.

And I will ask you again glory hunter? Why are you concerned about if we sign Falcao.

Come back to me on Courtney when he has been to court yeah.

if they can afford it so can we.

We can afford anyone but it's this very serious attempt to comply with FFP which PSG curiously don't seem concerned about in any way at all. They are not fooking about and are building a monster of a team much faster than we were able to (Paris + the Ancelotti effect I guess, we probably wasted a year with Hughes).

we can't miss out on this golden opportunity. him along with a class winger and we would be invincible.

we didn't make a marquee signing in the summer, so I'd hope it would be this and that it just wasn't possible in the summer.

First time I've heard of his buy out clause!

Atletico Madrid have hinted that they could be tempted into selling Radamel Falcao

Atletico Madrid will not part with Radamel Falcao in January, but have hinted that they could be persuaded to cash-in on the highly-rated striker next summer.

The Colombia international is among the most sought-after talents in European football, with a prolific strike rate drawing attention from the continent's top clubs.

Chelsea and Manchester City are believed to be heading the queue for his signature, with the Premier League pair blessed with the financial backing required to put a deal in place.

Atletico would be reluctant sellers, but appreciate that offloading their prized asset to anyone willing to match his €60million (£48.3m) buy-out clause would help to ease the financial strain on the club.

"€60 million for Falcao would solve all the economic problems at Atletico," general manager Gil Marin told COPE Radio.

"I can say for sure, though, that he will stay with us until the end of the season. Not only will he stay, but so will all the players that the coach wants to stay.

"We will fight to perform a miracle which is what we are doing with what we have available.

"In Europe there are 50 clubs with more income than we have. If we were to sell Falcao for €60 million then that would cover our debts."

Real Madrid are also said to be keen on raiding their cross-city neighbours for Falcao's services, but Marin doubts such a switch would be made.

"If Atletico do not qualify for the Champions League or cannot afford to meet his wage demands then I do not think that Real Madrid could afford him either," he continued.

"We have to do impossible things and take risks so that the fans can have the team that they want. It is difficult to maintain."

I don't think we have any serious interest in him as we seem to have ended the days were we pay obscene amounts of money for a player. Roman will probably think the buy out fee is okay and he will go to Chelsea. Maybe though, Torres would be interested in going back home as a part of the deal?

And as much as I admire Falcao, I don't think we have room for him, even if we sell Balotelli (and I really hope we do). If another one goes, i.e Dzeko or Tevez, then an additional world class striker would of course be needed.

i'm not sure thats particularly true. i just think we're only willing to pay the right amount for the right player. we were in for hazard, rvp and de rossi this wind, we missed out on all three, but i think that shows that we're still up for spending big for the right player. I actually think we were clever this window, sent low, god rid of alot of deadwood, potentially clearing the deck so we can splash out if and when we need to
