Radio 2 - who's it aimed at?

It’s very middle England - callers from upmarket postcodes who go pony trekking and have parties in the village hall on Saturday afternoons………..

Why does Radio 2's new music only consist of the same electro-voiced nursery school style dance pop? Is this what over 35s are in to?

When you use their catchphrases, you know they have won, right? :p
It's on at the front of the office at the request of our only female colleague.
Slow Chinese torture doesn't come close

They've decided to put the radio on in my office at work now and quite quickly burnt through the 5 songs "heart" play and are now onto Radio 2. We get blessed with Vernon Kay chatting shite, followed by Jeremy Vine trying to tackle the serious matters, which today went from Gaza/Israel to falling from ladders and then Walt Disney and now we get Scott Mills. An absolute fucking treat. They have a wider music collection at least, but it's headphones in listening to my own playlist!

Garbage these days, just garbage.

Shouty women bookending the day, Vernon Kay is not a patch on Ken Bruce, Vine awful and I simply cannot abide Scott Mills.

For me it's the £3.99 subscription to Greatest Hits radio, which I listen to almost all day, every weekday.

Will hop over to Radio 2 for Johnny Walker on the weekend, but that's it.

Lol. Was just about to write that ‘Sounds of the 70’s’ is always worth listening to!
