Radio 2 - who's it aimed at?

Radio 2 is the most popular radio station in the UK and gets more listeners than popular programs on the telly get watchers. The reason is that it's geared for people who are old enough to pay tax and vote and on the radio they haven't been forgotten about.

If it’s for older listeners I don’t get why they play so much childish current pop. I like Jo Wiley though.

Worked in Scotland Wednesday to Friday for a year. Used to like listening to Zoe ball when I went up Wednesday morning and Sara Cox when I came back Friday evening, I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea but I liked them, still listen to Sarah Cox. Don’t listen to the breakfast show now Scott Mills has took over, I just can’t fathom how he’s got as far as he has. Don’t listen to Jeremy Vine anymore as he turned into a proper self righteous prick. I can live with Vernon Kay but he’s no Ken Bruce. I do listen to Tony Blackburn if I’m working on a Saturday morning, I’m 57 by the way.
