Probably best not to find it then, eh?Brian Clarke's commentary of the Trevor Morley equaliser at Bradford. My dad has it on tape somewhere, but I'm buggered if I can find it.
Didn't he often say "oh no" part way through a song and you had to wait till it finished before telling who it was against?James H Reeves was class, got to dread that "oh no, it's a goal. ...." Twat Tyler in a mausoleum, it was not!
Best ever for me, only a minute but well worth a listen
Very true, arguably the most important moment in our history(not saying the best or most glamorous) but things may well have been very different had that not gone in. Great commentary, sheer relief as much as anything else from the commentators(and we still had extra time and pens to get through!).I remember I had that on tape and used to listen to it on repeat.
”Absolute, sheer ecstasy at Wembley”
The goal that lead to everything that followed. Goosebumps.
