Rafael Leao

The swap deal doesn’t have to involve Sterling but can involve Jesus. It can also be designed through financial engineering which is what Mendes is an expert at. Players looking for moves take pay cut. They can get financial compensation elsewhere so the wages don’t break a structure. All this is as old as time. If you think Mendes wants a move and doesn’t know exactly which strings he’d need to pull to make it happen, you’re being naive. Oddly, both Jesus and Sterling would happily be welcomed at AC Milan and Atletico…
Not so sure. We need to sell both to sign Leao.

How many David Silva's do we need? Foden, Grealish, Bernardo, who else? Maybe one direct and speedy winger?
They all have their particular strengths, but I would play them all slightly behind Felix. They are all better with the ball in front of them and driving us forward, whereas Felix’s touch and sense of space are better in between the lines, especially when they compress. I’m not averse to a winger with blistering pace, but Felix’s touch and movement are simply sublime, perfect for our football, and if we lost both Jesus and Sterling in this window, he’d be my preference.

There was a great vid on yt from the athletic a few years ago, on how he would fit that role for peps side.

An Italian friend of mine told me he's a LW? Unless Pep sees his ability to play RW why would we be in for him?

He currently lacks the physicality of Jesus and Sterling, but his touch is as good as Mahrez’s and he’s capable of moving either side of defenders. He’d also reduce the pressure on de Bruyne to create something, as he has that Silva-like quality of seeing the angles in the tightest of spaces.
Too many parts would have to fall into place for it to happen this window, alas.

Never heard of the lad, seen us linked on Twitter, watched a highlights reel, more powerful version of Stirling with an eye for goal was what i took from it

Yeah, Jesus, Sterling and Mahrez are all either rumoured to be leaving or have very little on their contracts remaining, but all our apparent targets mostly play on the left.
