Rag Takeover

See the rag racists are finally showing their true colours. Don't you have something better to do, like suck Nick Griffin's cock or something?

I couldn't you were already there! On a serious note this apparent takeover is by a group of wealthy individuals who are United fans and prepared to put in their own money cash (not borrowed) with a supporters trust given a controlling interest. Obviously the brothers Grimm have to agree to sell and at the moment are saying they're not interested but as we all know everything has a price a bit like when a club rejects an initial offer for one of it's players to bump the price up.

Behind the derison in this thread I'm detecting the fear amongst you all that someone is gonna come along and piss on your bonfire. Let's not forget that your sugar daddy sheikh could withdraw his backing at any time. The hundreds of millions he's already blown is, as you keep pointing out pocket change, therefore on that basis it's also pocket change for him to lose if he decides that he doesn't want to be assoaciated with apparent failure for a prolonged period. In football normal rules of business do not apply.

You were all warned by the forum leader last week that the negativity within the club has been noted by the owner.

The money to buy out the Glazers would be borrowed and the amount necessary to tempt the Galzers to actually sell would have to be over the odds because it would not only reflect the value of the club but the future earnings the Glazers can make out of the club. The recent bond issue allows the Glazers to take out money from the club to pay off their own personal debt so why would the Glazers sell unless the offer is too good to refuse and too good to refuse is bad news for the club as all you are doing is swapping one load of debt for another bigger load of debt.

The Red Knights don't have the funds and the Glazers are under no pressure to sell hence you have all this boycott bollocks which is insane because all they want is the club to be crippled (ie devalued) and crippling the club against a background of a bitter war between the knights and the Glazers is....just great news for everyone else! :)

Ahhhhhh *****leans back, puts feet on table an dreams wonderful dreams*********

Thanks for that last post Bob ;-)

The Glazers are by far the best thing that has ever happened to your club, and will make you the most cash rich in the world if you guys would just shut up and engage your brain for a second. These investment bankers do NOT have £1bn liquid between 50 of them, absolutely guaranteed. Investment bankers aren't rich, the people who employ investment bankers are the rich ones. It's like trying to get 50 former players together, they just cannot raise that type of money.
The Glazers won't sell United because unlike all of your Green and Gold brigade (who never seem to be in attendence in the last 15 minutes of a game, my United friend noted), they are billionaires because they make high risk business decisions and have the know-how to power them through. They aren't on the dole, or doing whatever pretend job you are about to make up that you do. Leave business to the people who have a proven track record in it.
Also, if you actually want your club to be run by fans and not businessmen, then you have to be living in a dream world.
No fan would have sold Ronaldo for £80m, despite the fact that it was a good business move. They also would pay Rooney or whoever the next terrace hero is, anything they so desire.
Having 50 owners in a football club is the worst thing that I could possibly imagine, for anyone.

As a former forum leader, I can tell you that the last part is just shite. Contrary to popular belief, the Sheikh doesn't read Bluemoon, he's a bit too busy running his country and vast multi-billion pound empire.

By your logic, we'd have been better with a skint owner because he is well invested into the club? Utterly ridiculous.

You obviously have no idea who the Sheikh is, why he put money in to the club, or what his investment track record is. I'd tell you to look it up, but I'd fear that you'd probably just kill yourself with jealousy.

In fact, look it up.

Damocles,

Do you want me to show you how to use the 'quote' feature properly? ;-)

The rag loving media are really loving this 1bn this and that, why the feck would anyone sell someting for 1bn when the bond issues allows them to take £400m over the next 7 years whilst reducing the the £700m debt on the club.

The rags are quite capable of making £100m a year from milking their lemming like muppets £60m to M Glaizer £40m Bond interest, if the glazier plan comes off in 7 years they will have no personal debt attributed to the purchase, the clubs debt would sit ay about 500m and they could still take whatever they like in executive salaries.

For the glaziers to sell it would have to be at least 1.5bn to even tempt them and personally I think they are on too much of winner to even consider it.

The Glaziers wont ruin the rags completely but they will ensure minimal investment on players high prices and a substained period of medoricity whilst clearing their personal debts before those of the club. They are the best thing to happen to them since that michael knight character.

Red Knights: 'We can save United – if fans pay £2,500 each'

As many as 100,000 Manchester United fans will be asked to contribute £2,500 each to the Red Knight fund to buy out the club from the Glazer family, under initial costings drawn up by those leading the audacious project.

The need to raise £250m from grassroots level reflects how challenging it will be for the buyout to succeed, despite the presence of Goldman Sachs chief economist Jim O'Neill and hedge fund owner Paul Marshall among the leading contributors to the likely £1.3bn fund needed to oust the Glazers.

There are understood to have been 40 serious expressions of interest in investment from would-be Red Knights, though initial proposals discussed by O'Neill and the Manchester United Supporters' Trust (Must) are understood to envisage 50 high net-worth individuals, each contributing between £10m and £15m each, raising at least £500m; a further 100 throwing in between £1m and £5m each, raising a further £200m based on their investment being £2m each and – most challenging of all – the £2,500 contribution from fans.

Just seen this in the Independant, surley they are not asking 100,00 of the deluded fuckwits to stump up £2,500 each are they?

You really couldnt make this up ha. These Red Knights are a fuckin joke. I personally hope they get the scum and really fuck them up.

PRICKS!!!!!!!

I honestly don't think that there ARE 100,000 United fans with £2,500 to throw at ousting the Glazers.
