I don't believe what I'm reading on here sometimes, people need to lay off him a bit he's been so good this season and HE IS improving, I see it, many blues see it, Pep sees it... even Carragher sees it and he's a bitter dipper. He's a better player than he was at Liverpool, he's a much better player than he was last season and he has been one of our best performers in the Champions League. I seem to remember quite a few Barca fans being surprised how good he was against them. Even last night he was the one who made the biggest contribution towards the goal we scored... which should have seen us go through, Kolarov deserves a mention for playing that ball across field to him on a few occasions creating something dangerous for us each time.

He's not a physical beast of a player like Ronaldo or Bale and he's young so he's going to have his off days as will Sané(I remember some writing him off too), he's had far more games where he's been a vital part of our attack than not though. At the start of the season he was doing the business with Nolito on the other flank, Pep highlighted his impact especially for the reason why we had such a good start. Sané found his feet and we saw a partnership forming with Raheem where we were playing the best football we've seen all season, especially when Jesus came into the mix... and now people want to just scrap it?

He is good enough, he's going nowhere, he'll just get better and more consistent and he'll make people eat their own words all over again soon enough, he's already proved the naysayers from last season wrong the way he started this season(seems like some would rather see him fail than admit they were wrong... talk about vanity).

Fully agree. "Decision making" appears to be the en vogue topic for those following the conveyor belt of meaningless criticisms.

Our second best player of the season behind Silva for me and one of our most consistent.

Terrible decision making at crucial moments.
Passes when he should shoot.
Shoots when he should pass.
Holds on to the ball when he should release it and vice versa.
Pep must have noticed this.
Why hasn't it been coached out of him?

Obviously doesn't come naturally to him. He's been around for4-5 years in top flight football. There might still be time to become a perfect decision-maker, but obviously unlikely. I would dislike it if We get the chance to replace with someone better in the couple of summers

20 odd assists and 10 goals is pretty impressive for someone who can't make a correct decision in the final third.

He'd be the new Messi if he could make his mind up! ;-)

I think occasionally it's just a confidence issue regarding his finishing rather than decision making, his overall game has improved significantly this season.

Much improved season this year, confidence must be higher than its ever been since he's been a Blue.

It really is time for him to show up against the Scousers.

its bizarre reading on here. hes been great pretty much all season, now he has a few off games all the moaners come out and say hes shit/not good enough...........

Hoping the team and especially Sterling to turn up against the dippers because he seems to have a problem playing against them.

It would be good to see him sticking it to the ex-Anfield mafia who threw so much abuse towards him when he left to come to us, like the soft arses they are.

It's the same posters who said he was shit and always would be last year. They were just waiting in the shadows for any possible hint of his progress stalling so they could attack him again.
